What does it mean to be part of a church? Is the congregation nothing more than a group of spectators who happen to sit near each other during music and a sermon? Or does the Bible speak of the congregation as something more than that? What we discover in this teaching is that the church as structured in the Scriptures places the congregation of the local church as God’s final earthly authority on matters of discipline and doctrine - meaning the congregation, not a board or a leader or a bishop, is ultimately responsible for the church.

Titus 1:5-2:1; This message begins a 3-part series on church structure. Many today think church structure does not matter but what we discover to be true is that thousands are turned off to faith because they were part of churches which ignored the Bible's guideline for structure and leadership. The series begins in this sermon discussing God's call for leadership - elders.

Psalm 1:3; Strong. Unwavering. Health. Fruitful. Like a tree. This teaching continues a series in Psalm 1 as the author describes the Godly person as one who is like a tree. What does it mean to live this kind of life and how do we do so? How can a person live a fruitful and healthy life?

Psalm 1:2; Everyone wans to be happy but few people consider themselves as living a happy life. What does it mean to be fulfilled and satisfide in life? Where does true happieness come from? What we discover in Psalm 1 is that happines comes from an entirely different place than we've ever known or thought.

Psalms 1:1; "O the many blessings of the man..." - sounds nce, doesn't it! Psalm 1 begins with what the blessed and happy man does NOT do. The happy man does not walk in the way of the wicked, stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the seat of the scorners. This teaching dives into the meaning of this text and introduces the "blessed man."

Revelation 4-5; There are many things that we get excited about. Sports, tv, new jobs, babies, ideas, good coffee, etc.. But how much of what makes you excited makes sense in eternity? What is it that should motivate us be the center of our focus as humans? What we discover in Revelation 4-5 is what our hearts are really longing for and what makes us most excited - the lamb which was slain.
