Mark 6:45-52; This teaching examines our fears and points us to Jesus. Without him there is reason to fear. With Jesus, there is no fear precisely because Jesus is God and he has told us: "Do not fear."

Mark 6:30-44; In this teaching John Parker takes us to one of the greatest banquets in the Scriptures - the feeding of the 5000. Jesus models for us a life of service and becomes a shepherd for shepherdless sheep.

Mark 6:1-13; If anyone should accept the mission and message of Jesus it is those in his hometown - Jesus is rejected. And as Jesus is rejected we see our own rejection of Jesus. This teaching explores the subtle ways we reject Jesus.

Mark 5:21-42; Jesus comes into contact with a woman who's been bleeding for twelve years. He comes into contact with a dead girl. Death is reversed. This teaching shows us that our only need in life is to come into contact with Jesus.

Mark 4:35-41; It is no surprise to find "storms" in life. Jesus wants us to trust him in the midst of the storm. But how can we do this? How can we find peace in tragedy or chaos? This teaching presents Jesus as the calmer of the greatest storm and the giver of all peace.

Mark 3:7-19; Jesus chose those whom he desired to be his disciples - and Jesus made them into disciples. What we see from those first called to discipleship is that it is first: solely the work of Jesus and, second: a call to make disciples. This teaching asks the very difficult question - if you're not making disciples, are you a disciple?

Mark 2:13-3:6; It only takes a cursory glance through the Gospels to see the problem that Jesus brought for religion and the religious leaders of his day. This teaching explores this problem and the tension between Law and the Gospel. Jesus did not come to save the righteous, he came to call sinners.

Mark 1:21-2:11; Jesus has all authority. Authority in teaching, in the spiritual realm, in the physical realm, and the authority to forgive sins. This teaching explains that we live in a culture which has a problem with authority and therefore creates a man-centered Christianity that has nothing to do with Christ. Mark 1:14-20; This teaching focuses on the questions: what is the Gospel and what does it mean to follow Jesus. Jesus has called us into his service, will we drop our nets and follow him?

Mark 1:1-13; This teaching begins a series in Mark and focuses on Jesus as the great Son of God here to do for us wht no one else could ever do.
