The Gathering

This past Sunday was Mother's Day. Why is it held in such sacred regard? Could it be that a mother's love has something to show us about the love of God? That was the question we wondered about together, at Storyline's Gathering, this past Sunday.

What if work was never meant to be something we simply survive, but something that helps us discover meaning, purpose, a calling? This past Sunday, at Storyline’s Gathering, we explored how God intended for work to be part of a good, growing life, and what it looks like to rediscover vocation in the middle of ordinary everyday work.

Leading up to Easter – and in the weeks since – we’ve been asking questions about perfection. And we've discovered that maybe God isn’t offering us an escape into a perfect paradise as much as an invitation into a good story—one that’s still unfolding, still growing, and not dependent on us getting everything right.

This past Sunday, at Storyline’s Gathering, we explored what that looks like in real life—through a story of grief, growth, and the unexpected ways we’re changed when we’re truly seen.

Lately, we have been looking at the questions people have about life and about God. We often wonder what God thinks about us. Why does it feel like we have to be perfect to keep everyone, including God, happy? How good is good enough? We looked at the rules of God’s game and how we might be playing it wrong.

This past Sunday, at Storyline’s Gathering, we celebrated “Saints Among Us.” Storyliners honored the saints among us who have made a tremendous difference in their lives.
