- #121 Perception
Send us Fan Mail
My perception creates my world view, concepts , philosophy, expectations. My perception is created by the brain it organizes, identifies and interprets sensory information. Fully formed by 6-8 of age. Out of that I create my plan to survive and thrive. My program for happiness. Unfortunately most of those perceptions were incorrect, false and or distorted. My wounds are not my fault, but my healing is my responsibility.

1 hr 1 min - #118 It's My Attitude!
Send us Fan Mail
Attitude = Angle of approach. My attitude is formed by my life experiences, starting with childhood. Our brains form opinions based on our experience - this becomes our life view - the way we see the world our attitudes are birthed from those early impressions. Until I change the way I see the world, it can never change. My attitude is my approach. This includes a great discussion by members of our Gathering community. Enjoy!

1 hr 1 min - #113 What do I do with the pain?
Send us Fan Mail
As the Buddha is supposed to have said, "Pain is part of the deal" So pain is a pointer, it holds a lesson, when I learn the lesson the pain is transformed. What isnt transformed is transmitted! If I ignore or deny the pain I never learn the lesson. So lets see what The Gathering community has to say about this topic.

1 hr 2 min - #112 Celebrations
Send us Fan Mail
Celebrations are of many kinds, birthdays, anniversaries ect. Here another way to look at it. Celebration is the acceptance of life in a constantly increasing awareness of its preciousness; And life is precious not only because it can be seen, touched and tasted, but also because it will all be gone one day. Life and Death are not opponents but do, in fact, kiss each other at every moment of our existence. There is a great group discussion here - enjoy!

About The Gathering With Roger B.
From the publisher's feed
The Gathering’s talks are generally tied to one or more of the 12 Steps, but are always guided by spiritual concepts, principles and ideas common to most faiths. Topics are drawn from a variety of…
sources: the 12 steps, many of the well-known wisdom texts, science and other teachers that speak to a spiritual solution to life's challenges. About Roger B. Roger has been in recovery for over 47 years and has spent thousands of hours in service, sharing his experience, strength and hope. He has created curriculum for treatment centers, and lead workshops and retreats throughout the United States and Canada. Roger is a Certified Spiritual Director, and offers insight into spiritually-based living skills that are relevant to all people – whether in recovery or not. Roger is the first to admit that his long-term sobriety was brought about by the “trial-and-error method.” His experience reveals what has worked, and - perhaps more importantly - what has not worked, but taught him valuable life lessons. Roger B. and The Gathering with Roger B. are not affiliated, or endorsed by any third parties or 12-step programs.
