The Gathering With Roger B.

Forgive , Forgiveness, Forgiven , Self Forgiveness. We are forgiven as we Forgive, what isn't transformed is transmitted.  We suffer from our History & our Imagination. The past and the future. The past is dead and the future (fear) hasn't happened. We need to be free of the past , How do I get free? By amending past harms and extending forgiveness to those you have wronged us. This is a process, the product of understanding, compassion and empathy, Inventory, prayer and meditation. I can never forget, but the way I know I have forgiven is when the memory comes up, it has no power or emotional bite to it. This also includes a discussion, live , with the members of the Gathering!

As we look back over our successes and failures, one thing becomes abundantly clear. Grace & Mercy are real operative states. I didn't get what I deserved and I got more second chances than I ever imagined possible. There's a great group discussion here. You are welcome to join anytime, ALL are welcome!

This is a companion piece to episode 108. The process of Order, Disorder & Reorder is the process of transformation. Old ideas have to be evacuated to make room for the new ideas, the growth is painful because of our clinging. Its a process of Admission (step 1) Submission )steps 2-7) Restitution (steps 8-9, and Constriction of a new life (steps 10-12) this includes a great group discussion as well....enjoy

This is taken from Richard Rohr's book " The Universal Christ" The 4 views are Material, Spiritual, Priestly and Incarnational. None of them are all good or all bad, but one is most useful. One is the most useful. Give it a listen and find out where you are on the path! This includes a lively discussion with the Gathering community!

Nothing binds me, except my thoughts, and nothing limits me except my fear, and nothing controls me except my beliefs. What stands in the way is my belief system. I need to be open to new ideas/concepts. Instead of my arguments about the God idea and my unwillingness to give myself to it. I can ask, forget the god idea, what would I be willing to give myself to? Some examples might be Love, Tolerance, Forgiveness, prayerfulness ect. This also includes a great group discussion. Enjoy and thank you for your support!

In 12 step recovery we talk about what I was like, what happened and what I am like now. Its not about abstinence (although that's the critical starting point) Its about a lifestyle that does not include resentment, fear and shame. Acquiring tools to deal with life on life's terms. This is a lifetime practice, but when adhered to can produce experiences beyond our comprehension or imagination. Similar to religious conversion experiences this process is about change, transformation and aligning with a Power greater than ourselves the evolution of an incredible living experience. The Power in our stories is what we call the language of the heart. If you find yourself nodding in agreement, or laughing , or both you have made a connection through the heart. You are not alone...hope is born!

Amazing Grace - the unmerited gift. Where there is Grace there is Mercy  - a reprieve "I didn't get what I deserved."  I cant see the how or why, but where I am left is an undeniable experience of transformation, humility and gratitude.  Now what are you going to do with it?This also includes a robust group discussion, join us wont you!

Forgiveness is for the forgiver. It frees me from the weight of carrying a life time of harms, slights and injustices. I think the world is unfair and I have been mistreated. I may have, but what am I going to do about it? I can be a victim or I can rise above it and get free, thrive and no peace. Whats your choice to be? There is a great group discussion in all the talks. Enjoy!

Needs are external. The beast uses our Basic instincts of Social and Security to trick us into to thinking we need, money, approval, status, nice things ect to be happy. So the question is where do I find my true self, my purpose, direction and value? This session includes a rich discussion among the participants.
