December 02, 2016Wizard World Inc sues their marketing manager (2016) newsWizard World Inc. filed suit against former Chief Marketing Officer Steve Shamus. The lawsuit alleges that Shamus, in his role for the company, diverted autographed products from talent he contracted to appear at the company’s shows and sold them, accruing over $1 million in misappropriated assets. Supposedly Shamus used outlets owned by members of his extended family to move the goods. In a 2-week span: the company’s stock dropped 18%, Shamus presented a (possibly forged) from his brother Gareb (the former Wizard CEO) demanding back-pay, a third Shamus brother, Kenny Shamus, resigned from the board of directors, Steve diverted contact to his attorney and (allegedly) attempted to delete all of his company emails. Wizard, which lost $4.3 million last year and is cutting back shows, is suing to recover “all compensation, salary, commissions, and bonuses paid to Shamus."...more8minPlay

December 02, 2016Hell in a Cell (2016) JM's reportWhile the event being promoted as having a "Triple Main Event" was seen as confusing, the cage matches were received mostly well. WWE finally allowed the female wrestlers to close-out a pay-per-view in the Women's Championship Match. December 02, 2016Doctor Strange (2016) Pat's movie reviewWhen Marvel movies started making a comeback several years ago, naturally the big names like X-Men and Spider-Man were tapped for big screen action. But who the hell would think that a decade or two later they'd be dipping THIS deeply in the well ?!
