An appeals court has ruled that French filmmaker Luc Besson is guilty of plagiarizing from John Carpenter's 1981 classic “Escape From New York." Being fans of both filmmakers, we had a lot to say on the matter and how sorely, sorely disappointed we are in Besson. Not mad, just... disappointed.

Religious statesman Rajan Zed said having the skin in a fighting game “trivialized Hinduism’s highly revered goddesses.” Devi is the great goddess of Hinduism, worshiped in many different form. While not representing one PARTICULAR aspect of the goddess, the skin very blatantly incorporates several key characteristics. Zed main dispute isn't an offensive portrayal, but rather having the goddess be controllable by players in a video game setup will create confusion on a religious level

The Department of Justice moved to seize roughly $1 billion in assets, including future proceeds from the 2013 film "The Wolf of Wall Street" in an international corruption investigation. The Wolf of Wall Street is about stolen money and international scandal, and feds now say the film may have been funded by (you guessed it!) stolen money and international scandal.
