ReedPOP brings BookCon to New York ComicCon for the first time ever. Previously held in May, BookCon was an unrelated event for literary enthusiasts to meet each other and their favorite authors. It's been waning for years. Now newly-acquired by ReedPOP, BookCon's been merged with to provide a second sub-convention for NYCC goers to try out. Possibly in hopes of rejuvenating BookCon. There's a "read between the lines" joke here that I absolutely refuse to make...

Impressions on Cornerstone - Song of Tyrim, the action role playing, puzzle solving, and crafting-centered open-world fantasy epic. The game still manages to have its own unique aspects and it feels well designed. More aptly it's a great way to introduce new generations of gamers to the classic platformer style rather than bring old-school gamers down memory lane. Derrick got a first taste of this pirate/barbarian story hybrid and gives an almost appropriate review - citing the words of his son to the effect of "Dad, can I shoot him in the face yet?"
