The Geeky Waffle

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Time for our favorite mushy holiday movies!

This week, Candace and Arezou sit down to dive into “The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star,” and discuss how it ties into the Netflix Christmas Cinematic Universe. Simon spin-off when?

They also talk about some of the other hits (LoveHard) and misses (Father Christmas Is Back) that have come out this year, discuss why they appreciate seeing different kinds of people in these movies, and go into the “why” of it all - why do we come back to these stories year after year?

What do you get when you have a dad going through an "uncoupling," two kids who have never been outside the city, and one giant mystery in the forest - which happen to involve some muppets? You get Turkey Hollow.

When searching for a topic for this Thanksgiving, Geeky Waffle's Candace, discovered a hidden gem, a Lifetime Channel Jim Henson muppet movie Turkey Hollow. Muppet enthusiasts, Candace and Bri, discuss this unknown (at least to them) film. From Ludacris as the narrator to questionable acting, to barely any muppets, this is a family-friendly movie that one may or may not give a lot of thanks to.

What’s your favorite scary movie? The question that defined an entire generation of horror fans ignited once again with the release of the Scream 5 trailer, promising another installment of bloody kills and frightening thrills as beloved Final Girl Sidney Prescott and her friends face off against another Ghostface Killer.

Bri and Geeky Waffle writer Mack are joined by Ryan from the podcast Scream With Ryan C. Showers to discuss what makes the Scream franchise so endearing, our favorite movements from the film series, and why we love Sidney Prescott.

It's that time of year for all things spooky and that includes vampires. Whether you think they are spooky or romantic, vampires are nonetheless a horror icon in pop culture.

Join Bri, Candace, and Arezou, as we discuss who we think, are the hottest vampires. From discussing the very first hot vampire - not Dracula, The Lost Boys, Brad Pitt in Interview with a Vampire, Twilight, and even a surprising muppet made the list? Listen to find out and laugh along with us as confessions are made.

Happy Halloween Waffles, in this spooky edition of the Geeky Waffle we discuss what movies we would like to see Jim Henson's Muppets recreate since Disney Plus is coming out with the Muppets Haunted Mansion movie on October 8th for their Hallowstream.

Join Bri, Candace, and Arezou for this Muppet eccentric episode as they talk about which films they would love to see muppetfied and which Muppets they would cast in the roles. From The Princess Bride, Psycho, to John Carpenter's Halloween, and many more.

In this week’s nostalgic episode, Candace, Bri and Arezou reminisce about the weirdest board games from their childhoods.

They question the messages behind games like Mystery Date and Mall Madness, wonder if Knives Out was inspired by 13 Dead End Drive, and relive traumas both personal (Pretty Pretty Princess) and universal (Don’t Wake Daddy).

Marvel's "What If" has got the Waffles thinking...

This week, Candace, Bri, Vanessa, and Arezou ask themselves the important questions: what if Nevill was the chosen one? What if Bella chose Jacob? What if Boo fell in love with a monster? What if Gilmore Girls...had zombies?

Candace and Bri tackle Camila Cabello’s Cinderella in a special bonus episode, Amazon Prime’s new jukebox musical. Despite the talented people involved, nothing about the movie resonated with either of them. From anachronistic details like plastic and Singer sewing machines to a world that feels like a giant set, no one is spared the Waffles wrath. Especially James Corden.

With Cinderella back in the news because of Amazon Prime's upcoming adaptation, Candace, Bri, and Arezou break down what they consider the best Cinderella adaptations.

Is Ella Enchanted a good movie even if it's nothing like the book? Is Ever After the best Cinderella movie ever? Which movie did Arezou have a life-size poster of? All these questions and more are answered.

The only one they couldn't figure out is why the team behind "Another Cinderella Story" paired underage Selena Gomez with a much older romantic lead...

Also, be sure to check out our interview with Paolo Montalban, and Arezou's reviews of "If The Shoe Fits" and "Cold Hearted." If you're curious about the Ever After musical, you can watch "Cousin's Cousin," the song Candace mentioned, here.

When you think about it, are we really supposed to root for Rory Gilmore?

A lot of the characters we thought were the protagonists might actually be the worst. Candace, Bri and Vanessa dive into which fan faves might not actually be all that great (Jim Halpert, anyone?)

Also, Candace tries to ruin Bri and Vanessa's childhoods by bringing up Harry Potter and Back to the Future
