Dujour means going rogue!
This week, Bri and Arezou take over the show to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fourth-wall-breaking, increasingly relatable commentary on capitalism masked as a musical comedy: Josie and the Pussycats.
In one of their more giggly - and embarrassing - episodes to date, Candace, Bri and Arezou discuss which fictional characters completely captured their childhood hearts.
From the expected like Aladdin, to the strange like Goliath from Gargoyles, or Basil of Baker Street, they leave no stone unturned. And Star Wars comes up too. Because of course it does.
In honour of the release of Shadow and Bone on Netflix, this week Candace, Bri, Arezou and special guest Maggie take a look at cult classic Stardust. Or rather, Candace was bamboozled into watching it, since it “stars” Ben Barnes, who appears for a grand total of 5 minutes.
Join them to speculate why the movie didn’t do well at the box office, decide whether it’s the Princess Bride of it’s time, and most importantly, explore the Stardust fanfic scene.
In honor of our new podcast, Space Waffles: A Star Wars Podcast, Candace, Vanessa and Arezou share their favorite moments from the Star Wars Galaxy.
Some have an easier time narrowing it down than others...

Once upon a time, a cartoon about a green ogre, a talking donkey and a beautiful princess hit the big screen. OK maybe 20 years wasn’t that long ago, but it certainly feels that way!
Especially to Candace, Vanessa and Arezou, who this week discuss this staple of their childhoods. They deep dive into the Shrek cinematic universe, why the movie still holds up, and look through some of the surprising casting choices that never made it to the final product.

In a strange, unexpected sequel to their Very Special Episode, this week the Waffles take a closer look at the Very Special Issues of popular comic books. Listen as Superman jr. and Batman jr. defeat the evils of feminism, Superman combats illegal immigration, Green Arrow takes a deeply troubling stance on drug addiction, and Spider-Man tackles the dangers of teen pregnancy. All this and more in a Very Special Issue of the Geeky Waffle.
With the Zack Snyder cut of the Justice League finally released. Candace and Arezou discuss what other movies they would like to see get similar treatment. Their picks include alternate cuts of classic comedies, Solo as envisioned by the original directors, and shockingly Arezou demands that a certain final installment in a space franchise get remade immediately.
That’s right. It’s finally time. Arezou is taking over the show to talk, what else, Reylo.
Ok technically, enemies to lovers. She is joined by Candace and their EtL loving friend Maggie to talk what makes good Enemies to Lovers, what definitely doesn’t count as Enemies to Lovers, and what the future holds for this, the finest of ship dynamics (can you tell Arezou wrote this?)
Spoilers for Shadow & Bone 23:41-26:24
Is Wanda Maximoff a villain? Short answer: no. Long answer: definitely no, it’s called WandaVision, not WandaVillain.
Candace and Arezou dive into what makes a villain, why Wanda doesn’t count, and why we need to stop trying to persecute fictional characters for war crimes at the drop of a hat.
His Royal Highness, Christopher Rupert Windemere Vlad- you know what, forget it. The Prince is giving an interview!
This week, in honor of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella hitting Disney+, Candace, Vanessa and Arezou are joined by a very special guest, Prince Charming himself Paolo Montalban to talk about all things Broadway, Cinderella, and the future of theatre.
