Tonight, on a Very Special Episode, the Waffles unpack the collective childhood trauma and weirdness that was...the Very Special Episode. From the silly - beer that turns you into monsters - to the differences between Canadian and American PSAs, to topics that were way too serious to be properly addressed in 22 minutes, they dig into the whys of this extremely distinct television phenomenon.
We're discussing brilliant movies that we just can't watch again.

It’s hard to resist a good rom-com. Who cares if the tropes are things we’ve seen a hundred times before. The heroes have the same stereotypical jobs. Everyone is very pretty. Someone’s fiancee gets dumped in favor of the person they met two day ago...wait. Maybe not all the tropes are so great after all.
Today, the Waffles discuss how the genre has changed, which tropes are still overused, and the kinds of rom-coms they want to see in the future
No one ever accused movies and TV of being real life - but that doesn’t mean we didn’t believe way too many of the things we were seeing. We thought high school was the be-all-end-all and that you could rent a fabulous apartment on a part-time salary. We thought court cases would be interesting and that forensic labs did fast turnarounds. We actually believed the science in Jurassic Park.
This week, Candace, Vanessa and Arezou dive into the wildly inaccurate things they believed as kids, the things they thought would be a bigger problem in real life, and perhaps even uncover some horrific repressed memories along the way.

For such a short episode, Candace sure swears a lot this week. Why? Because she is joined by Vanessa and Arezou to discuss the fictional moments that made them ugly cry. From the horrors of British sci-fi classics, to the tragedy of classic cinema, to Ben Solo (again!), the Waffles try to figure out why these moments affect us so much.
Spoilers for: Doctor Who Season 1-6 Torchwood: Children of Earth, Mamma Mia 2, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 6

Listen as Star Wars fanatics Candace and Arezou give their answers and reveal fascinating insights about their perceived direction for the show, and which Grand Admiral they secretly find attractive.
Warning minor spoilers for Star Wars Clone Wars, Rebels, and Jedi Fallen Order.

Wonder Woman 1984 Spoilers!
The direct-to-streaming release of WW84 caused a commotion online. What else is new? This week, Candace, Bri and Arezou are joined by Maggie Lovitt to discuss their opinions on the film (the good, the bad, the Pedro Pascal) and speculate on what this new release model means for the future of movie theatres.
Inspired by Tumblr’s Year in Review we talked about the movies, books, tv shows and video games that helped us get through this terrible year. From all things Star Wars to the end of Supernatural we were grateful geeks this year.
Is Netflix preparing for the holiday seasons most ambitious crossover event? Candace and Arezou seem to think so. Join them as they walk through the the Netflix Christmas Cinematic Universe, connect the dots between movies and try not to sound too much like that Charlie Day gif (the key word being "try")
