Moody Bible Institute is in crisis now.  The story is pretty familiar for most if not all Christian colleges.  It’s the same old battle over biblical authority, inerrancy, and creationism.  The conservative theology professor is on ice, and the liberals gain ascendance.  Should you send your children to Christian colleges that give way to neo-orthodoxy and the typical slides into apostasy?

American churches have seen the first serious drop off in attendance in just the last seven years.   Evangelicals are apostatizing much faster than other denominations, especially on homosexual marriage - a 250% apostasy rate in the last 7 years.  And, America has finally seen a sharp drop off in the number of people who believe in creation.  The battle for the faith in America has reached the most intense levels — the most intense it has been in all of Western history. 

Every worldview will have its heroes and its villains.  What are yours?  We discuss the most important people of the 20th Century, and compare our list with that which we find on Biography.com.   Some evangelical academics call Thomas Aquinas “the greatest, wisest, most intelligent human theologian who ever lived. . . “   Or, was his teaching some of the most dangerous teachings that the Catholic and Protestant church ever inculcated? Did his theory of knowledge undermine the Western world?  These are important questions for the modern church, especially as we fight to salvage what remains of the Christian faith in the West. 

After the President’s State of the Union address, we take a close look at the foundations of the nation. We look for humility in the State of the Union talk, and find seven references to the word "Proud" and one reference to the word "Pride." Borgen Magazine’s survey of the nations, finds that America is the proudest nation in the world. We also compare America’s violation of the 6th and 7th commandments to North Korea. Who is doing better? The answer may surprise you.

Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arthur Clarke, Gene Roddenberry, H.G. Wells. . . Atheists. . . Agnostics. . . Promulgators of the new religion called "scientism." We discuss these powerful ideas that have captured the imagination of modern man. Then, we ask the question - Should Christians be reading this stuff? How long would a Christian sit in the seat of the scoffer before he is actually sitting on his lap?

The Turpin family “home school of horrors” story has grown legs and made major ground. California legislators are on the war path to regulate homeschooling, however anecdotal exceptional cases make for bad law. We also look at the skyrocketing increase of sexual abuse in American public schools. In fact, public school students are at least 3 times more likely to be abused than home school students, according to the recent Gen 2 survey.

The modern university has pretty much embraced intellectual suicide. However, there is this one professor who is desperately grasping for meaning in a university of anti-meaning and anti-truth. And, his classrooms are packing out! We take a look at the Jordan Peterson phenomenon. The man has the audacity to believe that we may not need to doubt everything! He almost believes in God — a true, modern-day Agrippa.

The biggest stage play phenomenon in America over the last two years was Hamilton. The show celebrates the worst of American foundations — the worst character, the worst policies, using the worst, most profane language. Why celebrate the illegitimacy? The reasons are multitudinous, but the conception of the last president, Barrack Hussein Obama, outside of the bonds of wedlock stands out prominently. We take a look at the good, the bad, and the ugly of America’s roots, as we consider the present deconstruction happening now.

Americans are having less babies, and the number one reason is no co-pay for abortifacients under Obamacare. Americans are killing more babies using abortifacients, and the rate is up 55% in just five years. The pro-life groups have missed this important datapoint. We’re not celebrating victories on this one, yet. We look at American trends. American men are playing more games, and women are having less babies. As Rudyard Kipling put it, "The women had no more children, and men lost reason and faith. And, the gods of the copybook headings said, the wages of sin is death."
