ARTS: The inaugural Gauteng International Book Festival
takes place at Ubuntu Kraal, Soweto this Sunday 11
December. The festival is founded by Lorraine Sithole
together with journalist and author Niq Mhlongo, and Dr
Nokuthula Mazibuko Msimang. We’re joined on the line by

Correctional Centre protesting against the release of
Janusz Waluś. He is due to be released on parole after
serving a life sentence for the assassination of SACP
leader Chris Hani. Walus was yesterday stabbed while in
