Three media houses have been barred from
covering the Senzo Meyiwa trial in the Pretoria high court.
The media houses are SABC, eNCA and Newzroom Afrika.

environmental implications after a dam in
Jagersfontein in the Free State burst its walls, leaving
one person dead and four missing. The collapse of the
dam swept away homes and cars and flooded the
town in a toxic mine waste and mud. We now speak to

FASHIONABLE FRIDAY [STUDIO]: Free State Fashion Week
is returning for the 2022 edition. The event took a two
year break due to the Covid-19 global pandemic. The
fashion and lifestyle showcase will take place in
Bloemfontein from 28 September to 1 October. We’re
joined in studio by one of the designers who will be
showcasing, Palesa Mokubung who is the founder of the
fashion brand Mantsho and the first African designer to
collaborate with international retailer H&M.

ARTS: We’re now joined on the line by Seun Stew who is

an amputee dancer from Limpopo. The 24-year-old has
danced on the Miss SA stage alongside Makhadzi.

A Grade 10 pupil at a Pietermaritzburg school
has allegedly set alight an Acting Principal’s car after his
phone was confiscated. In video clips, a man can be
seen using a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. In a
separate incident, pupils at a high school in Durban
torched their classrooms after their cellphones were
confiscated. We now speak to Kwazi Mthethwa who is the
spokesperson for the KZN Education MEC.
