BE DRIVEN: Furniture Designer Sipho Twala will exhibit his work for the first time at the Design Joburg fair which starts tomorrow until Saturday at the Sandton Convention Centre. Twala who is a former taxi driver is the founder of Khwebula Arts which specialises in designing and manufacturing custom-made furniture. He joins us on the line

AVIATION UPDATE with Phuthego Mojapele

Tributes are continuing to pour in for Gospel star Deborah Fraser who passed away yesterday. She was 56. In one of her last interviews, Fraser revealed that she was hospitalised from February to March this year after falling ill on her way to a gig in Klerksdorp in the North West and had since been wheelchair bound. ARTS: A concert to raise funds for the KZN flood victims will be staged next month. The Arise Benefit Concert will be held at Moses Mabhida Stadium on June 18, and organisers are hoping to raise R10-million through ticket sales and pledges. Today marks International Nurses Day and the Young Nurses Indaba Trade Union has called on all nurses to boycott the day. A group of nurses marched to the South African Nursing Council to highlight the challenges faced by nursing professionals in the country. BE DRIVEN [STUDIO]: 38-year-old Dr Kgomotso Goitsimang Mokoala has been recognised as the first black woman in SA to graduate with a PhD in nuclear medicine. There are reportedly less than 50 nuclear medical specialists in the country. She joins us in studio

 South Africa has a critical shortage of doctors. This was revealed in a recent parliamentary Q&A with health minister Dr Joe Phaahla. Phaahla said one doctor treats around 1,000 patients. We now speak to Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa, Chairperson of the South African Medical Association.
