The Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union has vowed to push ahead with its strike at gold mine Sibanye-Stillwater. Workers have been on strike almost 3 months and they are demanding a R1000 a month salary increase. The company offered R850. We’re joined on the line by Amcu leader, Joseph Mathunjwa.

This year marks 60 years since Nelson Mandela was captured by the apartheid police in Howick in the KZN midlands. The place is now known as the Nelson Mandela Capture Site which features a steel sculpture of Mandela and a visitor center. We now find out more about the second annual arts festival which will take place at the capture site from 3 to 8 May 2022.
