The GlioBabes, a podcast created by two young women who were both diagnosed with brain tumours at a young age. Mel and Mol are creating a safe space to talk about their experiences and to raise awareness of brain tumours and ill health within the young population.
In Season 6, we have all the professionals! Starting with oncology, we welcome Dr. Lucy Gossage.
Lucy Gossage is a consultant oncologist as well as being an ex-professional triathlete, who combines her medical career with a deep passion about promoting the benefits of exercise for those living with and beyond cancer.Lucy is a co-founder of MOVE: Against Cancer, a charity that supports and encourages physical activity before treatment, during and after a cancer diagnosis, helping people find confidence in what their bodies can do.
Through initiatives like 5K Your Way, MOVE: Against Cancer, Lucy has helped build welcoming, community-led spaces where people with cancer, their families, friends and healthcare professionals can come together to walk, jog or run 5K at their own pace, proving that exercise doesn’t have to be intimidating to be powerful.
