The GlioBabes, a podcast created by two young women who were both diagnosed with brain tumours at a young age. Mel and Mol are creating a safe space to talk about their experiences and to raise awareness of brain tumours and ill health within the young population.
In this episode we discuss our trip with The Brain Tumour Charity to Parliament to speak with MP’s Tom Rutland and Jess Asato, who previously worked with Dame Tessa Jowell MP, who sadly passed away from glioblastoma in 2018.
We reflect on the £40 million research pledge and talk about why our visit was hopeful.
We link this into how youth voices matter in activism.
Oh, and you’ll get to hear about Mel’s Menty B.
Stick around this podcast isn’t one to be missed!
