When I was wrestling my last match in high-school
My fibula compelelty snapped and my ankle got turned 180 degrees
I looked at my foot and I thought I was done for good with sports
Thought It would never be the same after that
“Will I be able to run again”
“Will I be able to play sports again?”
And defiantly wasn’t gonna be able to finish out my last year of wrestling either
I ended up getting 2 surgeries and not able to walk for almost 6 months
About 4 weeks into my recovery my doctor said I could start going to the gym again
I immeidelty went to the gym..I wasn’t gonna let this injury define who the fuck I was
Then 8 months after my surgery I was playing rugby as a freshmen at the university of Rhode Island
3 years later for me I did my first ever half ironman after thinking I would never run again
Don’t let your current circumstances dictate your fucking life
Realize that failure is there to teach you a lesson and show you what your truly capable of…..
