“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalms 34:18

I didn’t plan on sharing my testimony in today’s episode, but the Lord had other plans, and as continued verses were revealed, we went there.

Maybe it’s because I was too afraid to share the true reality of how badly I needed him, or I was *still sinking in the shame of my wrongdoing, or had come to the fact that I didn’t feel worthy of this redemption story that he was so beautifully writing. Not for me, but for him andhis ultimate glory.He uses it all for his purposes in every way. 

Our Father is near to the brokenhearted, and he sent his son so that we could be free. Not free as in still in bondage, but free, like free.  

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free” Galatians 5:1

You may notice a few times that the audio is interrupted, part of that is real-time deliverance to freedom. The Lord saved me, in the middle of this recording, by revealing to me the parts of my story (his true light) that were darkened by its clouds (my old stories and wounding).

We cannot forget the finishing work of the cross through it all. He loves us perfectly into purity, and it might break us first, but the Holy Seed is its stump….

“and for all of this, his hand is stretched out still.”

THANK YOU JESUS. 

Isaiah 1:12 asks us this very important and powerful question,"When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?"

What does this mean? The trampling of my courts? We take a deep dive into the first chapter of the Book of Isaiah and get avery clear picture of some serious accusations from our Father. This question of the "trampling of my courts" requires us to see the different ways our wounding (explained in 1:6) keeps us in patterns of rebellion and how the Lord asks us to "reason together" and have a willing and obedient heart.

I pray this episode will challenge you, stretch you, and require you to look at some of the wounding that you (and me) may still be holding onto. This conversation is important, please listen with an open heart and let the Lord use this time to change and transform you from the insight out.

When it comes to “living boldly” for the Kingdom, we see this walked out with great confidence in the teaching and preaching style of the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul has always resonated with me most in the scriptures, his deep convictions on how he had so poorly gone against the Father seems to bring a great confidence in his kingdom work (after much time in prayer, fasting, repentance, receiving forgiveness, and the like).

The book of Acts mentions his boldness in teaching in many different ways, and it begs us to question where we are holding back from being bold in our own walk with God.

October 11th is my birthday and the start of a NEW THING, I am 33 years old today. I amfinally, bravely, and boldly doing something that I have desired to do for a long time.

This podcast is more than just a weekly video, it is wearingmy heart on my sleeve for the world, to be a witness to the transformational love that Christ has on our hearts if we are willing and obedient to be changed.

I have spent ALL of my life trying to fit into the world, waiting to be seen for who I thought I was supposed to be, denying the version of me that Jesus calls and draws nearer to himself.

As I've shed the weight of past chapters, I am closing the book on the journey of doubt, shame, being an outsider, and writing a new story of who the Lord has revealed himself to be, through correcting behavior, breaking unfruitful patterns, encouraging spiritual growth and maturity, and cultivating in me an understanding that continues to heal the hurt in my heart.

Genesis 16:13 tells us, "She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.”

^ Thank you Jesus for seeing me, in my brokenness, despair, and long-suffering. You show us what it means to be in right relationship with the Father and we pray that you continue to reveal yourself to us, together.
