The Good Word

Music is a form of worship that can enhance the way we feel the spirit, and the way through which we connect with Heavenly Father.

As we go through life, we discover how to choose from right and wrong as we make mistakes and learn from them.

Ancient Greek mythology tells the story of the Sphinx who asked a riddle to ensure those getting into her city were worthy of it. Ordinances and Covenants function in a similar way. As we receive covenants through ordinances, the Lord can make us into the people that he requires in His kingdom.

The Savior's Atonement took place in the meridian of time, symbolizing how central the Atonement is to each of our lives, and to the world as a whole.

There are many mysteries in this life, but the Atonement of Jesus Christ is constant, and we can rely upon the Savior to help guide us through this life, despite the gaps in our knowledge.

The Ancient Egyptians believed that the judgement of one's heart consisted of weighing it against a feather. Jesus Christ has given all of his children a way to "lighten their hearts" and live in his presence forever.

Bringing souls to Christ offers us immense amounts of joy. Even if the only soul we bring to Christ is our own, He will bless us with much joy.

Many European countries have folktales that attribute the unknowable to the realm of "the fae." When we encounter things in our life that we don't understand, we can consult God and rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance.

As humans, we don't speak just for the fun of it, we speak in order to communicate. Our connection with Heavenly Father works in the same way. We don't pray to Heavenly Father just to pray, we pray in order to receive guidance and blessings.

The more we come to trust the Lord, the more He trusts us to do His work and follow his commandments. He is trustworthy and will never betray the trust we place in Him.
