Patrick Holcomb is a long-retired Little League right fielder whose passion for the game far outdistanced his unremarkable talent. After hanging up his cleats for good, he found his true calling, earned the title US Marine, and spent the next twenty years traipsing around the globe alongside some of the brashest and boldest women and men this country has to offer.

Running is his passion and backpacking is his joy. And to this day he still hungrily admires each mountain with the same boyish question tumbling through his mind:

Meet Hilary Laxson, Coast Guard Spouse for 12 years and mother of a daughter with severe dyslexia.

Hear how Hilary has fought the education system ensuring that her child, and other children have the support they need.Her personal experience has led her to become a passionate advocate for dyslexia education and advocacy.

She provides Special Education advocacy and consultation to Active-Duty Military and Retired Families in the USA and DODEA from her business The Dyslexia Life. She currently lives in Atlanta where her daughter attends a dyslexia school.Hilary runs a Facebook parent support group called Warrior Parents of Dyslexics and Dodea Dyslexia Parent IEP 504 Support.

Clay's military career began in the National Guard, where he heard about an opportunity to earn in-state college tuition in exchange for service. He went on to serve five tours, one deployment shortly after 9/11. Clay has now retired and has transitioned into a successful career as a best-selling author and media consultant.
