Comedy. Not necessarily as something funny, but something too good to be true. Something that we thought was impossible, but suddenly becomes possible.
The gospel can be seen as comedy from this vantage point. Through the story of Abraham and Sarah and their response to God telling them they were going to have a son while living in the geriatric ward, we get a glimpse into what Jesus offers people. Grace, grace, grace. It seemed like something impossible from God, but God is the one who never ceases to amaze and changed the way people thought about him and the love he offers.
