Ps Sue looks at the story of the 10 lepers where she focuses on two different aspects of the story:

• The Laws of the Kingdom
• The Laws of the People

She talks about how when all 10 lepers got healed, only the Samaritan came back to ask for forgiveness from Jesus.

Ps Sue reminds us that we should always give praise to God especially when he forgives our sins

In this weeks AM sermon, Theo Rule is speaking on the story of Jesus and the 10 lepers but focuses on the one Samaritan leper and the history of Israel at the time of Jesus

Paul West talks on Luke 9:10-17 which is the story of Jesus feeding the Five-Thousand and focuses on culture of hospitality in the Middle East from the time of the Old Testament to 21st Century.

In John 20 Jesus is noted as appearing to the disciples and three times telling them “peace be with you”. Peace with God. Peace with self. Peace with others. Social peace.

National or international peace. They can be based on false peace - just don’t care. They can be based on avoidance - escapism into different soul soothing endeavours. They can be based on forced peace - ending conflict by force. None of these result in real, lasting peace.

In our Easter PM service, Josh explains the source of real, lasting, fixed peace, peace and its ultimate expression as God’s “shalom”. You can’t have the peace which comes from the “Prince of peace” without radical obedience to his rule.
