Ephesians 2:21-22 talks about the followers of Jesus being built together to become a dwelling place for God. Individually and corporately God himself lives in us. When we lead Holy lives this is an expression of Christ in us. When we become the dwelling place we grow into an intimate relationship with God.

God is continually building our character - so we can experience a sample of heaven in the here and now. Not just in church on Sunday but in all of life, we can have our character moulded into the image of Jesus. One result will be unity with other believers - Psalm 133.

Our freedom as Christians is so that we can serve and love others - showing Jesus to the world - and bringing heaven to earth.

Hard work, training, coaxing, encouragement. These things can help us to change, to rise up and achieve greater things than we ever thought possible.

In our spiritual life we need the encouragement of the scriptures to grow us and change us. God wants to make us more like Him, growing us through the limits and barriers that we face. Using Matthew 8:23-26. And other New Testament scriptures Pastor Sue explains how we can overcome by Jesus working in us, and influence practical everyday situations in our lives.

We need peripheral vision to develop peripheral mission. Jesus had this. Women at wells, men up trees, children seeking a blessing. No matter where he was heading, Jesus always found opportunities on the way there to minister, heal and engage with the last, the lost and the least. The story of Jesus raising Lazarus is explored by Kieren. He reveals God's heart for people and callus to share the practical love and healing power of Jesus with people we meet while we are "on the way" to somewhere else. Our "interruptions" are often our "opportunities"

What forms of worship are you used to? Reformed liturgy? Anglican prayer book? Pentecostal chandelier swinging? How necessary to you is that form? Can you worship God in a church that uses a different form? God is calling his church back to the heart of worship.

"You should have known better - you reap what you sow". This idea of sowing and reaping is sometimes used in a negative way. However, if we apply this principle positively, we can change so many things. What's the vision you have for your life, for your church, for your city, for tomorrow's culture?
