Matt Mann, known online aa  'Jiu Jitsu Is Much More Than You Think' is a Royce Gracie Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt under Danny MacMillan Jr in Plymouth, UK. He is a Jiu Jitsu Coach, Former Police Officer and Proud Father of 3. Matt is a huge advocate for Jiu Jitsu for Self-Defence and Mental Health, both he has experienced personally.

Matt set up his social media accounts to document and journal his first steps into Jiu Jitsu right through until the day he can no longer study the art. Through this platform, he is also able to raise awareness and support for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a condition that effects his young son.

Robert Robins is a goldsmith and diamond setter who specialises in bespoke jewellery. Over his 24 years of experience he has gained a massive wealth of knowledge, across all aspects of the industry. Starting as an apprentice making cups of tea, getting any time at the workbench he could, he eventually was trained in optical diamond setting by the worlds best in Antwerp for 4 long months.

Long before BJJ, as a teenager, Jamie got involved with the wrong crowd which led him down a dark path of hard drugs, addiction, crime, violence, prison and tragedy.

Owen Livesey is a British Judo and BJJ Black Belt, Submission Grappler and Owner of Carlson Gracie Hull. He notably competed in Judo at an international level for Great Britain and England and won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in the Men's 81kg division.

Now, Owen in one of the biggest British names on the Professional Jiu Jitsu and Submission Grappling scene. This year he competed against former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman in the main event of Polaris 23. At Quintet 4 where he represented Team Polaris and fought against Nick Rodriguez (Nicky Rod). He then competed in an 8-man absolute grand prix tournament at Polaris 25 where he faced Fabricio Andrey.

Wes McGuinness is a Petty Officer and Elite Sportsman, representing the Royal Navy in Powerlifting. In 2017, he was the first person within the British Armed Forces to be selected to represent England at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship’s in South Africa, coming away with two silver medals and a bronze medal. In 2019, he represented Great Britain at the Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Sports Festival Championships held in Barcelona, Spain 2019.  

In 2021, he represented Team GB at the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Bench Press Championships in Lithuania. Following his performance at the Worlds, he went on to represent Team GB again and represent his country at the IPF European Championships in Hungary, finally finishing the year with an invitation to the IPF Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships. In 2022, Wes suffered an horrific injury during competition, tearing his biceps completely off the bone...

Aaron Cusack is a professional football coach with over 20 years of experience in coaching education. Formerly a trainee youth player with Plymouth Argyle, Aaron turned his passion to coaching at 22 and spent 13 years as an academy coach working in Plymouth Argyle’s Academy. During his time there, Aaron completed his UEFA B licence and Youth Awards before progressing on to complete the prestigious UEFA A Licence and the Advanced Youth Award, the highest practical coaching qualifications achievable in Europe. 

Aaron has helped with the development of several players now applying their trade in the professional game ranging from League Two all the way to the Premier League as well as Internationally. He had also worked as a coach educator for The FA and is a Technical Coach for the England Girls Pathway. 

In 2019, he started his own coaching brand, ATEK Coaching, which specialises in position specific development; details allowing players opportunities to take their game to the next level. Aaron is also a regular pundit and commentator for Argyle TV offering tactical analysis for Plymouth Argyle’s first team games.
