Welcome...to the Graveyard Show Classic.
This is a look-back at my interview with Christopher Sharrett, Professor of Film Studies at Seton Hall University. We discussed what a film critic is, and how it differed from being a film reviewer. We spoke about how The Dark Knight brought film criticism back into focus at that time. We also discussed the stigma of the horror movies being for "idiots", and how "men don't watch horror movies". We discussed how horror movies can raise questions about the "Evil Other", how the monster can represent the hidden desires within ourselves, and how the very best horror films can make the monster sympathetic.

Welcome...to the Graveyard Show Classic.
This is a look-back at my interview with director Phedon Papamichael, who joined me to discuss his film From Within, which was included in the 2009 After Dark Horrorfest (8 Films To Die For). We discussed the making of his film, and his career as one of the great Directors of Photography. It was truly an honor to have him on my podcast.
This was one of several interviews I did when the After Dark Horrorfest films were released, and a good interview to follow this with was my 2009 interview with Adam Gierasch (Tombstone 3), whose film Autopsy was included in the After Dark Horrorfest that year.

This is a look-back at my interview with writer/blogger/filmmaker Stacie Ponder, which was originally published on 08-27-2009). We discussed the trials and tribulations of making her horror film Ludlow, her working relationship with Shannon Lark, the lost art of movie posters, women's status in the horror genre, The Descent, and why Friday the 13th Part II is such a good and under-appreciated film.

Welcome...to the Graveyard Show Classic.
This is a look-back at my interview with Reyna Young, horror host Miss Misery, and creator of the Last Doorway Productions, which was originally published on 03-12-2009. This was Reyna's first time on my show, and the topic on the table was women in horror, and the tough road she (and others) had faced trying to get ahead in the horror genre that was being run by men. This interview will open your eyes as to the sexism that existed even in 2009.
A good interview to follow this with was my 2009 interview with Shannon Lark (Tombstone 16).
