We speak with Parker Sloan who is a candidate for the District 3 Buncombe County Commission seat in Asheville, North Carolina.  He is also the Senior Community & Economic Development Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables, a national utility scale solar energy company

We get back to our roots and discuss big issues - the most important issue to us is climate change and the haphazard approach to that that is presented in a way to give us comfort. Yet, we are finding that even "Green Energy" has a large carbon footprint and relies on unsustainable resources.

We speak with David Ackley and Christina Hall Ackley from Ginger's Revenge Ginger Beer Brewery in Asheville, NC. They speak about how David's father contracted COVID-19 almost simultaneously as NC Governor Roy Cooper implemented the shut down orders.

We speak with Travis Holt - Interim Cafeteria Director at Jones Elementary School.  Travis has been a chef all over the country and settled back into his native Western North Carolina roots a few years ago to raise his family.  He chose to leave the chef world and take a job at a local school cafeteria to have more time with his children with a more applicable schedule.  He speaks about how the Asheville City Schools have been preparing and delivering food to those in the school system who need it since the schools closed on March 15.  He also speaks about all of the logistics and issues with how a cafeteria can operate during a pandemic and how the school in general may have to adapt - once schools reopen.  Great perspective on one of the many moving parts we all need to consider as we move forward through this pandemic.
