August is here. The extra unemployment benefits have ended. Rent and mortgage forgiveness is expiring. The Congress is dragging their feet and packing the relief bill with pork and unnecessary spending instead of focusing on the needs of the American people.

We speak with Jillian Summers and Jeff Cantanese.  Jill is the Technical Director and Scenic designer at Asheville Community Theatre.  Jeff is an actor, director, artistic director at Attic Salt Theater Company and an all around theatre raconteur.

We speak with Brian Jones, a security contractor from Florida.  Brian was recently in Portland Oregon to document and experience the protests.  We spend a lot of time discussing this and hearing Brian's perspective.  Brian is also a Covid-19 survivor who has lingering symptoms and complications that still persist.

We speak with Katie Button - CEO and Executive Chef at Cúrate Restaurant and Button & Co. Bagels.  Katie is a James Beard award winning chef and has been a fierce advocate for independent restaurants during the hardships of the pandemic.
