  • Contact me for Help Starting a School
Contact me for help starting a school. I have been doing teacher training and administrator coaching and owner consulting for more than 20 years. I was the one who wrote the book on starting a licensed childcare center as a mission. I have now a new book on re-founding education. I can help you.
Do you have a group, like maybe a congregation, that wants to start a school? Call me so I can advise y ou in process. Maybe you are a homeschool grandmother and have a large living room. Call me to find out about microschools. Maybe you want a conversation or maybe you want your hand held for a year. Maybe you have a little school and you need board and staff training.
    My consulting website is www.orgstrat.net

  • Re-founding Education — Announcement
My latest book, Re-founding Education: Jesus' Teaching Method for Parents, Pastors, Teachers, and Administrators is out now! Yesterday was the launch day. And even better for you, in Kindle version, you can get it for free today also.
Please tell your friends! And they might even be able to get it for free if they hurry - over the weekend!
Please give me a good review.
    https://www.amazon.com/Re-founding-Education-Teaching-Teachers-Administrators-ebook/dp/B0DXHN8XGZ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
    WHAT IS IN THE BOOK
Here is the deal: Education in American is on the wrong track. We know that. Heading the wrong direction. I wondered how it could be so bad. Chapter 2 explores that. I discovered something that really shocked me.
Then, in Chapters 3 & 4, I cover the rest of the education situation. What else is going on besides government schools? And how is that working? What is useful and what is disappointing.
Then, Chapter 5 is the chapter everyone will want to get to. What lessons in how to teach, can we learn from Jesus, the Master Teacher? I have 7 categories. And, it is more that just saying "STORIES" you seminary trained guys! Listen! It is really high time someone did this sort of study. Last time a book was published with this strategy was 1895. Yes, 1895. r
Any experienced educator or good mother will recognize immediately some of these lessons. And probably slap there head. What were we thinking that we forgot these lessons?!?!?! Love for students. Do you think that is the primary value of government schools? How about teaching Truth? And so forth.
WHY THIS BOOK IS SO IMPORTANT
This book will be a go=to read for anyone starting teaching, homeschooling, or even considering a congregation's educational mission. It will move the conversation along in the academic world of education, especially in Christian universities attempting to have departments where they train teachers. (I have always said that wherever we train pastors, like in Bible Schools, we ought to also have teachers' colleges.) This book will be the beginning of the way forward.
HOW YOU CAN BE PART OF THE TEAM
You need to get a copy, or you will be missing out. Get a copy for every Christian person who is struggling to teach anywhere in any context. That means the pastor and Sunday School teacher. That means the people who run a local Christian school. Make it a study text for your homeschooling support group.ion pen to facts and fairness for our students. So, you know what it takes to get the word out these days, when we are flooded with information, good or not. Speak for this in your study groups. Like, share, and review. This really does matter, because the algorithms of every electronic platform push down what is seldom looked at. Amazon, in particular, will not show books to people unless there are big sales. Even if there were no persecution in the world, in the most plain terms, they want to sell the most books. So , they are going to show books with the highest sales. Self-perpetuating prophecy -- unless friends help.
    And btw, free now.
And reviews! Please post an honest review after getting the book. Thanks a bunch ya'll. Let's do something for the children!

  • “School Choice” did Not Work out well in AZ as ESA either
"School Choice" did Not Work out well in AZ as ESA either.
School choice is not about choice; it is about money. Don't let folks fool you. In Texas, Texas even, the Senate has passed it and the House is about to. It is reported that most Republicans want it. In TN the patriots are mourning, because their RINO governor got it through their lege. This is what is happening in the red states. The Blue states, not so much, and why? Because they already have very little freedom to educate children individually, or in Christian worldview.
Yes, you might get a little bit of money, but it is only a lure to reduce choice. Same story with  Educational Savings Accounts. ESAs. Okay, maybe better, since the money doesn't go to Cesar first, but it does require Cesear's permission.
Maybe you would like to hear how it worked in Arizona? A Christians was head of the schools for the state then. Now she regrets letting "school choice" aka shackles in. Listen in.
Friends, this is probably the biggest learning problem in the state right now. It is being pushed everywhere -- except where there is already no choice. So, I know I know I know that t his might not be our fave topic.  Like broccolli. You tell your children to eat it -- if you are a good mom.

  • Educational Liberty at Stake; Many Confused, Deceived – URGENT
I am convinced that educational liberty is imperiled. Nothing short of losing the right to privately educate our children, or educator our children as Christians is at stake. Politicians are claiming to to the reverse, and people everywhere want to believe the lies because they want money.
THINK THRU THE ARGUMENTS FOR YOURSELF
There are people who would argue otherwise. But talk to them for a while. Find out if they are telling you facts. Do they know definitions? What are their actual claims? Have they considered the evidence? Have they fairly evaluated the likely results of the policies? (Yes, exactly what I have been teaching in my thinking skills courses. I taught them because THIS is the greatest learning obstacle around right now.)
You know very well that most bills are named the exact opposite to their intent and result. You know that many well-intentioned plans are utter failures when put into practise. You know know, or should know, that originally all rights were reserved to the people except those explicitly granted to the government. You know that that government has consistently crept up, thought that they ruled us, and even taught that they granted rights. You know that most Republicans are really RINOs. You know that most Democrats do have some sane arguments. It is sane to expect accountability from monies disbursed!
ARE YOU EDUCATED ENOUGH YOURSELF TO FIGHT THIS BATTLE?
You may not know, however, much about the truth, and history of the "school choice" movement. It is a movement push, as far as I can see, by RINO governors. It will grant some monies, one way or another to some people that privately educate, for some time; however, more will be granted to the government schools -- to continue going ever lower in academic achievement, safety, and sanity. This was ever the plan.
If you doubt that destroying education and liberty has been the plan, then read Chapter 2 in my forthcoming Book: Re-founding Education.
WORK TOWARD A SOLUTION, INSTEAD OF BEING DISTRACTED BY A CARROT
I have heard and read the wildest, silliest claims. Folks, if you want liberty and do not have it, then propose a bill in your legislature that prohibits regulation of private education including home education. If you want more money to educate your children, then argue for lower taxes. If you want more money to go for educating poor people, work to see that your private school grants good scholarships. These are the only ways those objectives will be accomplished.
Negotiate with liars and you will get snookered. Don't gamble with your liberty!

  • School Choice is A Deception
Veteran Home School Mother of 7 and Veteran of the Battle for Legal Homescooling Wrote On This Issue of Vouchers
This is a third in a series that covers the little booklet "Shekels to Shackles," Today we cover the chapter written by Dr. Marlene Millan. She was one of the 7  promoters of home schooling in the days of Leeper.  Most people today don't know that then there was a big promoter of homeschooling here trying to suggest a Virginia like system. He promoted it as freedom for homeschooling but in reality it would have created state oversight. MacMillan then saw through it and her words saved Texas from that fate.
LOTS OF CONFUSION - MAYBE PLANNED
Same thing happening today. People are very confused. They think that "school choice" will be more choice and that is not true in any sense of the word. Already federal law provides that homeschooled children have a right to programs like UIL, sports, or special education. This program -- at best -- will provide some money. Those are the shekels. They will end up as shackles. That is how it always always always works. Cesear's coins have strings. That is why he gives them!
WHO IS PUSHING THIS AND WHY?
RINOs across the nation are pushing this. Conservative Christians, knowledgeable about education and politics almost universally are working against it. But most people are either greatly deceived or just want the money. And folks, IT IS ABOUT the money. There is not one single benefit beyond money. Not one. There is no more choice in the plan.
Anyone who suggests otherwise is trying to deceive you -- or doesn't know what they are talking about.
Now, I must admit, that in the short term, it will be a great boon to all the new private schools that need to open. Thank God for that. But watch out. Ceasar's money has strings. Get ready.
NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT SENDING YOU YOUR TAX MONEY BACK
I've talked to some nice homeschool moms who think that the plan is to take the state budget, divide it by the number of children in the state and send each child's share to the parents. Of course, nothing like that is under consideration. At All. There are 2 basic plans. One is the *grant vouchers*. This means that whoever applies, according to whatever rules, gets a little money. So, say that in existing budget the state spend about $10k on each student. Then, if they give $2K to some families, maybe $!K is kept for administration over the new plan, and the other $7K is kept by the state education system  - to do with as they please. As they please.
Now, for a poor family $2K is not enough to pay for a good private school. For a middle class family, $2K will be a relief. The typical homeschool family might spend it on curricula. Curricula companies will be happy. And of course, there must e accountability (the Democrats have been aMarxist curricula from the big houses that do an outstanding amount of business with eht State of Texas already.
WHY ARE PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THIS IN TEXAS?  WHO ARE THEY -- REALLY?
A friend came back with a full-throated, "That will never happen in Texas." Well, she may be right that maybe the strong homeschool establishment in Texas might possibly avoid what is logically an inevitable outcome. However it is short-sighted in the extreme to suggest that this could never happen. And it is blind to what is happening in other states.
BTW, Texas is one of the biggest states for textbook sales, and they submit their order before other states; that is why Texas is so very important for the publishing houses, ... why they stack committees with leftist teachers... And notice the push to have no textbooks....so parent won't see content.
The other idea for a plan is the Educational Savings Plan. Of the two, I would favor this one, because the money stays with the family, rather than going through the bureaucracy first. However, notice that Arizona already has a plan and Christian conservatives, and at least  one high up educational administrator is ...

  • School Choice aka Vouchers aka State Control part 2
Second on our school choice/ vouchers program.
Today, we related what Alex Newman exposed: that the United Nations promotes the use of taxpayer money in order to control education. Home schooling is out from under government control -- at least in Texas.  To counteract that, the plan, according to Newman, Iserbyt and others, is to lure people into accepting government money.  Self-interest, right?
But then under the reasonable claim of need for accountability, the government will want to surveil and then control home education.
People say "we should get our money back."  Yes, it would be great if the whole pie were divided by number of children and each respective set of parents could use that money as they saw fit. No one is contemplating that. Instead, out of a big budget, of say $10K per child, they will "give back" something like $1K (helpful maybe but not enough for public school). Who keeps the $9K?
You may get the exact words of Newman and others by using the signup form to the right. Get the whole book Shekels to Shackles. Next, another state's experience with ESA savings accounts.

  • School Choice Right Now Voted on in Texas
School choice is once again being pushed by a governor. Having failed numerous times in the states I follow, it is once again being pushed thru the lege == while everyone is watching national news. Deciet is rampant.
Most Christians and most conservatives think "school choice" or "vouchers" is a good thing because "it will give us our money back" and "allow poor children to go to private school." This is false.  If we could take the budget, divide by the number of students, and send it to each one, that would probably be wonderful. That sort of plan is NOT under consideration.
Most vouchers are a small part (like 1-%) is given to those who apply, after a slice is taken for bureacracy of course. Thus, it may defray costs for some middle class people; it will not be enough to provide for tuition for the poor. hen the 90% of what the school might spend on that student if they were in government school, is retained. However, the biggest characteristic is that where Cesear's money goes, so do the "strings." Public money grants come with accountability, control.
If one doubts this, check out what happened last time: a very small amount of poor students got some temporary help, while the government schools got a larger budget in the deal, and Democrats screamed that government schools were in danger of being closed, -- and that accountability must be included.
This time around, Gov. Abbott is talking about educational savings account. This might be somewhat better, except that it required "accredited schools." The largest accrediting body of Christian schools is now controlled by Marxist philosopy and requires teaching of LBTQ. See my review of Mindshift on Youtube. At any rate, we will deal with the ESAs and how the Christians in Arizona were very disappointed by it -- in an upcoming episode.

  • Overcoming the PsyOP of Learning Disabilities
Today, we tell you the secret to overcoming the psyop of learning disabilities. As long as you think your child -- or you-- are DISABLED.... you don't find the right solution to the problem, you have to depend upon someone else, and some bureaucrat keeps their job. You and others around you are harmed, suppressed, and basically: disabled.
However, if you understand that there is a learning PROBLEM, then you are enabled to find the right solution. School is important. Vocation is vital. You can do it. God created you good. Yes, the world is fallen. Your child was almost certainly injured by a polluted environment, some accident, or some poor educational situation. Fine; I understand. I and my family have had to deal with all of that. However, God is a redeemer -- meaning fixing. Beyond that, God is a resurrector -- meaning a Doer of the absolutely impossible.
So grab hold of this faith. Get hope to move on. Move on. Get your gold.
In the meantime, join with us for the journey. And let others know. Share both online and in person. Thanks.

  • Vision Can Be Improved!
Vision can be improved! So can eyesight.
Both vision and eyesight can be improved? Did you think not? Did someone tell you otherwise?
Vision has to do with the brain. Eyesight has to do with the eyes. Both need to be working. Both can be improved.
Eye doctors do not do that. They, instead, sell glasses. So, they "correct" eyesight by putting on glasses. Often these glasses are the wrong prescription. People, especially children complain, and are told "well your eyes will adjust." Well, sure enough their brain adjusts, and maybe their eyes adjust too. And then they need stronger glasses. Until the person is old and is sold surgery -- that lasts only 7 years. STOP!
Vision is not the same as Eyesight
Vision/eyesight is extremely important. Obviously, it underlies academic performance, but also it is foundational to lots of other things including spatial awareness/coordination and social ability and behavior and ability to focus! Until now just about no one was working scientifically on that.
    Resources
And more and more Americans are having eye problems -- largely because of the over-use of screens.
I just heard a great podcast by Dave Asprey with guest Dr. Bryce Applebaum https://daveasprey.com/1240-bryce-appelbaum/ that got me excited. So, I sat down with you, like an informal chat, and tried to convey what I know.
Meier Schnieder was blind, exercised till he could see, and started sharing his intuitive methods with others. He now teaches courses in person and on line. https://self-healing.org/ He had a couple of books, too.
Here is a link to the old sunning and palming exercises, altho I do not know the folks behind these sites at all. Looks like this is called the "Bates Method."

    Easy things to do
    First principals:
Get outside, do not stay indoors on your computer all the time! Strictly limit screen time for children. Make your screens warm, with as little blue light as possible. Even adults should stop using a screen 2 hours before bedtime or use strong blue blockers like Tru dark glasses. https://truedark.com/ (Cheap substitutes won't be as good but will likely do some good.)
Look far away. Take breaks from working your eyes at least every hour.
Exercise your eyes: 1) Look close and far away
    2) Look all around
    3) Use your peripheral vision
    4) Rest your eyes by covering your eyes with your warm palms and enjoying darkness for a while.
I think you will notice that your eyesight is improving with just a few trials. But keep on! Take hope and motivation by this fact, now established: that vision and eyesight can be improved -- a great deal. Maybe in the future no one will wear glasses!

  • Testimony re Innovative Education
Last week we told you about one grandson's miraculous healing: given zero percent chance to live, walking out of the hospital talking! Today, I share what I did to get him up to speed in education. He turned 5 in a coma. He was on the honor roll in first grade. Here is the story in brief.
Yes, I wrote the book about. It is called Learn at Home for Great Shalom. Get it.
Buy several copies. Give gifts. Make a group study. Yes, really.
I am worried about the springing up of government school teachers offering their services to the public, when what they know clearly never worked. Parents need to know. And teachers need to know better. Please please please help me get the word out: hope, faith, and better knowledge. Learning?
