The Greatest Moments in the History of Forever

Hey all you goblins and ghouls, it's time to celebrate the season with none other than the Godfather of slasher films, the aptly titled HALLOWEEN from director John Carpenter.  That's right! We conclude this year's massive Greatest October with one of our all time favorite films! The 1978 original and by far the best Michael Myers movie.  AND IT'S ALSO EPISODE 200, BY THE WAY!

Thank you so much for listening and sticking with us! We've still got big plans for things to come with this podcast!

We're heading into the home stretch of our biggest and best Greatest October of all time!  With episode #199, we head down under and scare up THE BABADOOK - a low-budget elevated horror film from Jennifer Kent.  Admittedly, the first time we watched this one back in the day, we were both more than a little scared.  Does it still hold up?  Is this film the most convincing advertisement against having children ever conceived?  Listen to find out!

This week, we try something a little different - we discuss a film that was new to both of us, HOCUS POCUS.  That's right, folks, before preparing to do this episode, neither of us had ever seen this 1993 Halloween classic from Disney. We discuss our first impressions of the film and also note all of the un-Disneylike plot points.

Surprise!

The (Greatest) Greatest October in the History of Forever starts a little early this year!  That's right, we're doing a jumbo-sized version of our yearly autumnal tradition that will span both September and October and (hopefully) take us all the way until episode #200.

And we kick things off with a big one - SCREAM!  Hip, fun and genre-revitalizing, this 1996 slasher helped to define horror for at least the next decade. This movie is always a blast to rewatch and discuss and we did our best to cram everything into one episode!

This is a big one for us, folks!  We revisit Kevin Smith's 1994 indie classic CLERKS and then examine Smith's entire career.  We also realize that without Dante and Randal, there probably is no Zach and Matt...

Something fun coming next week!
