Over the Thanksgiving holiday, students at Mount Pleasant High School part of Generation Voice - Delaware Public Media’s youth radio program there - recorded a conversation with a loved one.

The idea of Creative Aging, like picking up painting when you’re older or continuing acting in public theater, is gaining steam nationwide through organizations like the National Center for Creative Aging.

The University of Delaware’s new football coach officially landed in the Blue Hen nest Wednesday. UD formally introduced Danny Rocco Wednesday at the Carpenter Center, culminating a nearly two month search to replace Dave Brock, who was fired midway through the season back in October.

The University of Delaware was an early pioneer of a movement in the 1990s called PBL – or problem-based learning. And since then, many of the campus’s classrooms and workspaces have also been re-designed to reflect this more collaborative teaching style – replacing desks with moveable pod chairs and blackboards with glass walls. Earlier this week, the state celebrated Delaware Day – marking the anniversary of Delaware earning its First State nickname by becoming the first state to ratify the Constitution. Since Donald Trump won the presidency in November, a number of groups have expressed anxiety over what his presidency may mean for them. That list includes some scientists and researchers. Delaware Public Media science reporter Katie Peikes tells us some University of Delaware researchers are worried Trump's dismissive campaign rhetoric regarding science could signal cuts to research funding once he takes office.
