When you look around at all the news and evil in the world—whether it’s natural disasters, terror, rumors of wars, disease, depression, etc., it can be pretty scary.
There is a lot of fear in this world, but it doesn’t have to control you or your loved ones! Especially when you know the #1 thing that frees you from fear: the love of God.

There’s one thing that heals every bit of loneliness, sadness, and depression—the presence of God. The beautiful thing about the presence of God is you don’t need to “get in” it. You are already in, through the blood of Jesus. He is not “out there” or “over there”. He is right “here” right now—with you and in you! Believe that and remember you’ll never be alone again.

Hey gang, today we’re fasting from the thought that says “I Feel stuck”.
We’ve all thought that at times, but it’s a lie. There’s always a way out of what you’re in, or a way into what you’ve been kept out of.
When Jesus was tempted to not go to the cross, the Bible says, “He went forward a little . . .” (Mark 14:35 KJV). When you feel stuck, like there’s nothing you can do, just take a step. Don’t think about all the steps. Just take the next one. In a relationship, the first step may be just saying you’re sorry. If it’s finances, maybe it’s just cutting one area of spending or giving one extra offering. Move forward a little!

Have we forgotten how to be happy? Is there a recipe for happiness? How can we control our emotions and put our faith and trust in God—even in difficult times? In this Moments episode, Pastor Gregory and Grace Dickow give us more practical wisdom and understanding from our Fast From Wrong Thinking. They discuss how we can control our emotions by changing how we see and use them. We don't have to view our emotions as enemies. We can see them as blessings. We have the power to use them to our advantage by treating them as signals to adjust our thinking. As we practice overcoming and thinking with God, we will increasingly feel better and enjoy our lives more. God never meant for our emotions to control our lives. But they can accompany us and make our lives more fun as we continue to fast from wrong thinking!
One of the things that make us most unhappy is when we compare ourselves to others and to what they have. When we compare, we despair. So…
Let’s ditch this thinking today!

We all have emotions, but unfortunately sometimes THEY have us!
God created us to live with positive and healthy emotions. It’s the negative ones that can harm our lives, our relationships, and our future. The idea that we are “victims” of our emotions because of our past, our gender, our culture, our ethnicity, or our personality type has to be eliminated.
Let’s change it today!
Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “I Tried to Forgive, I Just Don’t Feel It.” Many people are held back in life because they are waiting for the feeling of forgiveness before they let go. In the meantime, unforgiveness continues its damage against them, while they wait for their feelings to change. Your feelings won’t change until your thoughts do!
Let’s change 'em today!
Today we’re fasting from the thought that says, “I Just Can’t Forgive Myself.” It's time to stop rehearsing what you did or didn't do. It’s done. It’s over. Now accept the second chance (or third or fourth…) that God offers. Philippians 3:13 says “Forgetting what lies behind, and reaching forward… ” Reaching forward starts in your thought life.
Let's ditch this thought for good.
When it feels like you are waiting for an answer from God, you can rest assured that He is working all things together for your good. Pastor Gregory Dickow shares seven BIG things God is doing in your life behind the scenes. Don’t be discouraged by the silence of your life right now. At every moment and in every season, God is working. He is the Author and the Finisher, and He will finish what He started in your life.
Hey podcast, today we are fasting from the thought that says, “I feel like I’ve failed,” or “I’ve failed in my relationship with God, in my faith, and in my life, etc.”
The feeling of failure can be disheartening and depressing. It can keep us in a cycle of defeat. No matter what you’ve done or how far you think you’ve fallen, Proverbs 24:16 says, “A righteous man falls seven times, but he rises again! You are righteous in Christ. See yourself as someone who rises up. When you’ve fallen, you have the choice to get back up.
