नमस्कार, आप सभी का ग्रेमेटर्स पोडकॉस्ट में स्वागत है।

आज सरस्वती पूजा है और आप सभी को शुभकामनाएं। वैसे आपको अपना बचपन याद है जब सरस्वती पूजा का बेसब्री से इंतजार रहता था। इसकी तैयारी में हम चार पांच दिन पहले से लग जाते थे। शुरुआत होती थी मोहल्ले में घर घर जा कर चंदा इक्कट्ठा करने से। सरस्वती पूजा की तैयारी में सारी सारी रात जागना, नई नई साड़ियों से मंडप को सजना, आधी रात तक मंडप में मूर्ति लाना, फिर उसे सजाना, और पूजा के दिन सुबह से ही प्रसाद काटने में लग जाना, कितना कुछ होता था सरस्वती पूजा में! सभी बच्चे अपने अपने तरीके से लगे रहते थे। और इस दिन हमें पढ़ाई से भी छुट्टी मिल जाती थी। जो सबसे टफ सब्जेक्ट होता था, हम वही किताबें मां शारदे के आगे रखते थे ताकि हम अच्छे नंबर आए।

सरस्वती पूजा बचपन का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है और इसके साथ ही एक nostalgia का भी अहसास है। यह त्योहार न केवल शिक्षा की महत्ता को उजागर करती है, बल्कि बचपन के खुशी और उत्साह को भी साकार करती है। सरस्वती पूजा के दिन बच्चों को विद्या की देवी का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है, जिससे उनकी पढ़ाई और सीखने में उत्साह बढ़ता है। इस दिन के उत्सव में विद्यालयों में विभिन्न कार्यक्रम और प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की जाती हैं, जो बच्चों को विद्या के महत्व को समझने में मदद करती हैं और उन्हें बचपन की यादें संजोने का मौका देती हैं।

आज भी कमोबेश स्थिति यही है। बेर, गाजर और शकरकंद के बिना पूजा आज भी नहीं होती, आज भी बच्चे कॉपी-कलम चढाते हैं मां सरस्वती की प्रतिमा पर। ये अलग बात है कि किताब कॉपी की संख्या कम हो गई है। अब युवाओं के बीच में मोबाइल और लैप टाप का क्रेज है। हाथ से पेन ओर पेपर छूटता है, दुनिया पेपरलेस कार्य की ओर बढ़ चली है।

वैसै तकनीक क्रांति के बावजूद सरस्वती पूजा युवाओं के बीच आज भी काफी लोकप्रिय है। चौक चौराहों और घरों में मां सरस्वती की मूर्ति की स्थापना करके उनकी पूजा अर्चना करने में की परंपरा आज भी चल रही है। सुबह से ही शुद्ध जल से स्नान करने के बाद युवक-युवतियों की अलग अलग टोलियां मां सरस्वती के दर्शन के लिए पंडालों में जमा होने लगती है।

बसंत ऋतु की शुरुआत सरस्वती पूजा से ही होती है। शायद यही वजह है कि लोग इस दिन पीले रंग का वस्त्र धारण करके पूजा पाठ करने के लिए घर से निकलते हैं।

इस दिन का इंतजार हर उस व्यक्ति को रहता है जो मां सरस्वती का उपासक है, जो कला और संस्कृति की उन्नति के लिए निरंतर प्रयत्नरत है, जो पूरी तरह से ज्ञान और विज्ञान के प्रति समर्पित है।

मां सरस्वती को वेदों में कई नामों से पुकारा गया है।

त्योहारों के इस मौसम में हमने सोचा क्यों न आपकी भावनाओं को थोड़ा सा टटोला जाए; बस फिर क्या था हमारी ये सोच और हम आ गए आपसे बातें करने। जी हां आज का हमारा यह podcast आने वाले पर्व और त्योहारों पर ही आधारित है।

पितृ पक्ष और फिर नवरात्र! यहां से शुरू हुआ है त्योहारों का मौसम। पहले नवरात्र की तैयारियां, नौ दिनों का पूजन और फिर हवन और कुमारी भोज व विसर्जन के साथ माता रानी की बिदाई। फिर यहाँ से शुरू हुई दिवाली की तैयारी!

घरों की साफ सफाई, नया पेंट, दिवाली की शॉपिंग, जुगनू की तरह चमचमाती लड़ियां और उनसे घरों को सजाते लोग। हर तरफ मां लक्ष्मी के स्वागत की तैयारियां ज़ोरों से चल रही हैं। मौसम में ठंडक भी घुल गई है। क्या आप बता सकते हैं कि ये बदलता मौसम और ये सारी तैयारियां हमें किस बात की याद दिला रही हैं?

जी हां, ठंड तो आ ही रही है, पर इसके अलावा हमारी श्रद्धा और आस्था से ओतप्रोत पर्व छठ ने दस्तक दे दी है। क्यों छठ का नाम सुनते ही आंखें नम हो गई न। घर की याद आ रही है न... तो सोच क्या रहे हैं; अपना मोबाइल उठाइए और घर वापसी की अपनी टिकट आज ही book कीजिए न...

याद है पिछले साल भी काम की वजह से आप घर नहीं जा पाए थे! कितना सूनापन और खाली खाली लग रहा था न आपको!! और उधर घर पर आपकी मां भी आस लगाए बैठी ही रह गयीं आपके इंतजार में और उनका व्रत आपके बिना ही गुजर गया। पर इस बार आप भी नहीं चाहते न कि ऐसा कुछ हो, तो फिर सोचिए मत; पहली फुर्सत में अपनी टिकट book कीजिए और घर के लिए रवाना हो जाइए। घर की पूजा घर के बच्चों के बिना अधूरी रहती है, इसे अधूरी मत रहने दीजिए।

और फिर आपको काम भी तो कितने सारे करने हैं न... गंगा जी से पानी लाना है, घाट तैयार करना है, फल खरीदने हैं, सूप- दौरा, हाथी ये सब भी तो लेने हैं।

पूरा परिवार एक साथ एक छत के नीचे बिना किसी मन मुटाव के अपने अंदर आस्था और प्रेम भर कर इसी पर्व पर तो जमा होता है। और आप शायद इसको मिस तो नहीं करना चाहेंगे न। इतना मत सोचिए, काम तो आप सालों भर करते हैं, लेकिन छठ साल में सिर्फ एक बार ही आता है और यही एक ऐसा वक़्त होता है जब आपकी मां हर आहट पर बस आपके आने की राह देखती हैं। उन आखों को सूना मत रहने दीजिए।

त्योहारों में अपनी उपस्थिति से घर की रौनक बढ़ाइए।

हरतालिका तीज, भाद्रपद मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की तृतीया को मनाया जाने वाला यह पर्व कुमारी व सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियों के लिए अति महत्वपूर्ण है। इस दिन कुमारी और सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियाँ गौरी-शंकर की पूजा करती हैं। इस व्रत से जुड़ी एक मान्यता यह है कि इस व्रत को करने वाली स्त्रियां पार्वती जी के समान ही सुखपूर्वक पति का सुख भोग करके शिवलोक को जाती हैं। सौभाग्यवती स्त्रियां अपने सुहाग को अखण्ड बनाए रखने और अविवाहित युवतियां मन अनुसार वर पाने के लिए हरितालिका तीज का व्रत करती हैं। सर्वप्रथम इस व्रत को माता पार्वती ने भगवान भोले नाथ के लिए रखा था।

ये तो थी तीज से जुड़ी आस्था और विश्वास की कहानी। आइए इसके एक दूसरे पहलू पर नज़र डालें। तीज का व्रत सजा हुआ बाज़ार, उम्मीद भरी निगाहें, अच्छी कमाई के बाद घर लौटने की उम्मीद... ये है इस पर्व का दूसरा पहलू; जहां धर्म जात ऊंच नीच इन सब से इतर सभी दो समान भागों में बटे थे। एक खरीददार और दूसरे बिक्री वाले। खरीदने वालों की सिर्फ़ एक अभिलाषा- कि उन्हें उनका पसंदीदा सामान मिल जाए। पर बेचने वाले अपनी आँखों में कई सपने, अभिलाषाएं और उम्मीद लिए होते हैं।

जहां एक ओर सामान खरीदती महिलाओं की आंखें रंग-बिरंगी चूड़ियों, गुलाबी डलियों, ऐनक- कंघी, मेहंदी लगाने वाले, आदि को देख कर चमकती हैं ; वहीं दूसरी ओर चूड़ी वाले, डलिया वाले, मेहंदी वाले, आदि की आंखें अपनी रेढ़ी या सामान के पास ग्राहकों की लगी भीड़ को देख कर चमकती हैं। चमक तो दोनों तरफ होती है, पर दोनों का अभिप्राय अलग होता है। किसी की आस्था, किसी का श्रृंगार.... किसी दूसरे के लिए दो वक्त की रोटी की, बच्चे के खिलौने की, मां की दवाओं की उम्मीद बनती है।

कितना सुंदर समागम है न! आस्था और उम्मीद दोनों एक साथ चल रही हैं।

The diplomatic prowess displayed by India during this summit is truly exceptional. Over the course of 200 hours of non-stop negotiations, 300 bilateral meetings, and the refinement of 15 drafts, India's G20 Sherpa, Amitabh Kant, played a pivotal role in achieving unanimity on crucial geopolitical issues. One notable aspect of this achievement is the West's decision to step back from its insistence on criticizing Russia, showing the power of diplomacy and compromise.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The 'New Delhi Leaders' Summit Declaration' promises significant global developments. One of the most notable outcomes is the induction of the African Union as a full member of the G20, a move that reflects a more inclusive and representative global governance structure. India has also taken the lead in establishing a global biofuel alliance, with the United States and Brazil as founding members. This initiative holds the potential to transform the world's approach to sustainable energy.

Another groundbreaking development is the announcement of the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor. This corridor promises to expedite trade between India and Europe by an estimated 40 percent, opening up new avenues for economic cooperation and growth. It's a testament to India's commitment to fostering international partnerships for mutual benefit.

Prime Minister Modi's vision of "Today's era must not be of war" is at the heart of these initiatives. It underscores the importance of diplomacy and cooperation in a world where peace and sustainability are paramount. His concept of Lifestyles for Sustainable Development (LiFE) resonates with the global community's aspirations for a better future.

The 'New Delhi Leaders' Summit Declaration' set a positive tone for addressing global challenges and fostering international cooperation. India's leadership and diplomatic acumen on the world stage have been truly remarkable.

We celebrate this special day and extend our finest wishes to all PR professionals who work tirelessly on reputation building, communication management and crises resolution for their partners. The PR industry has evolved into one of the most thriving and critical to India’s businesses and governance eco-system.

We speak to our Director Dr Navneet Anand to seek his views on the status of PR industry and its prospects. 

Q: Dr Anand how do you look at the industry today?

Public relations in India has gained immense significance in the communication landscape. The growth and evolution of public relations as a profession can be attributed to several factors.

As businesses have expanded, the economy has grown, and industries have become more competitive, the need for effective and professional communication has become increasingly evident. Organizations, both in the private and public sectors, have recognized the crucial role of PR in managing their reputations and engaging with stakeholders. This recognition has propelled the growth of the PR industry, leading to the emergence of numerous agencies and independent professionals seeking to leverage this opportunity.

Q: What are some key trends in the industry and how do you foresee its future.

There are several clear trends shaping the PR industry in India. Firstly, The demand for PR agencies has significantly grown, leading to unprecedented growth in the industry. This is driven by the recognition of the importance of effective communication and reputation management. 

Two, the industry is now characterized by a diverse range of agencies, varying from large corporations to small one-person setups. While this provides opportunities, it can also potentially impact service quality and the industry's reputation. 

Three, the growing aspirational class in smaller cities has contributed to the emergence of regional and local PR agencies. This has created employment opportunities and made local economies more dynamic. 

Four, the Indian government's focus on transparency and digital communication has prompted government agencies to adopt best practices in communication and reputation management. This has created new opportunities for the private sector. 

Five, the digital era has expanded the circumference of audiences, leading to PR agencies catering to a global audience. This requires finesse and quality to meet the diverse needs of a global clientele. 

Six, the rise of AI has raised concerns about its potential disruption to the PR industry. However, quality PR interventions that require human ingenuity, knowledge, and passion are expected to remain essential, with AI playing a peripheral role.

Looking ahead, the PR industry in India is poised for exponential growth. However, it may face challenges due to the presence of non-serious players and issues of quality and service. The industry will also need to address the challenge of acquiring quality human resources and collaborate with academic institutions to share best practices. While technology will enhance efficiency, PR will continue to be human-emotion centric and cannot be reduced to computer program coding.

India has the potential to tap into the global communications market, and with government attention and support, it could carve a significant position in the world business by 2030.

आज़ादी, यह वह शब्द है जिसे सुनने मात्र से एक सुकून का एहसास होता है। इस स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर हमारा देश आज़ादी के 75 वर्ष पूरे कर लेगा। इस आजादी को हासिल करने की लड़ाई में अनेकानेक वीर सपूतों ने जान की बाजी लगा दी थी। कुछ के नाम इतिहास के पन्नों में स्वर्णाक्षरों में दर्ज हैं, तो कुछ गुमनाम रह गए। 

आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के अवसर पर

GreyMatters Podcast की एक विशेष सीरीज में हम पेश कर रहे है ऐसे ही कुछ unsung heroes की कहानियां।

आज सुनिए कबीरधाम (छत्तीसगढ़) की तारा द्विवेदी जी की कहानी।

तारा द्विवेदी

Kabirdham (Kawardha), Chhattisgarh

तारा द्विवेदी का जन्म 12 अगस्त सन् 1926 में हुआ था। विवाह के पूर्व उनका नाम तारा पांडेय था। उनके पिता श्री राम दुलारे पांडेय छत्तीसगढ़ के महत्वपूर्ण स्वतंत्रता संग्राम सेनानी थे। उन्होंने स्कूली शिक्षा रायपुर से प्राप्त की थी। यहीं पर राष्ट्रवादी नेताओं के संपर्क में उनमें राष्ट्रीय चेतना का विकास हुआ। तारा जी के परिवार ने अपनी पुत्री को उच्च शिक्षा देकर योग्य बनाने के लिए इलाहाबाद भेजा। यहां पर वे भारतीय विद्यार्थी कांग्रेस के संपर्क में आयी और उनमें अपनी रियासत की जनता को जागरूक करने की प्रेरणा प्राप्त हुई अतः उन्होंने पढ़ाई करते हुए कवर्धा में मताधिकार एवं जन प्रतिनिधि सभा (कौंसिल) स्थापना के लिये आंदोलन प्रारंभ कर दिया। आंदोलन के कारण तारा जी की शिक्षा में व्यवधान भी पड़ा था।

इलाहाबाद के विद्यार्थी कांग्रेस की नेत्री पूर्णिमा बैनर्जी रीवा राज्य में राष्ट्रीय चेतना का विकास कर रही थी अतः उनसे भी तारा जी को प्रेरणा प्राप्त हुई थी। यहां पर पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने भी उन्हें अपने रियासत में जनचेतना के प्रसार करने की प्रेरणा दी अतः वे कवर्धा आकर विलीनीकरण आंदोलन में सम्मिलित हो गयी। रियासत की उच्च शिक्षित नागरिक होने के कारण तारा जी को विशेष सम्मान प्राप्त था। अतः 14 सितंबर सन् 1946 में कवर्धा में स्टेट कांग्रेस का पुर्नगठन हुआ, इसके अध्यक्ष हमीदुल्ला खान थे, तारा जी को कार्यकारी सदस्य बनाया गया। इस संगठन ने 3 दिसंबर सन् 1947 को एक विशाल आम सभा का आयोजन किया जिसमें स्टेट को भारतीय संघ में विलीन करने के लिए कहा गया । इस सभा के पश्चात् गिरफ्तारी प्रारंभ हुई अतः तारा जी को एक लंबे समय तक भूमिगत रहना पड़ा था। सत्ता के हस्तांतरण होने पर भी रियासत का प्रभार वहां के एडिशनल कमिश्नर दशरथ लाल दुबे रियासत के पूर्व कर्मचारी जो राजा के प्रभाव में थे, को मिला। इस से कवर्धा की प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था में कोई विशेष परिवर्तन नहीं होता । अतः ऐसे अधिकारी के होने का विरोध स्टेट कांग्रेस ने प्रारंभ किया तथा तारा पांडे, हमीदुल्ला खान, चतुरसिंह चंद्रवंशी, नरेंद्र जी परिहार आदि के नेतृत्व में नागरिकों का विशाल जुलूस निकालकर मांग की गयी रियासत के पूर्व कर्मचारियों को निलंबित किया जाय। अंततः तारा पांडे की मांग पूरी हुई इस तरह कवर्धा रियासत में जनतंत्र व्यवस्था स्थापित हुई।

Today, we’re talking about the International Labour Organization’s campaign on Social Protection Floor and its implementation in the state of Odisha, India.

The ILO and the United Nations identified the Social Protection Floor as an essential component of inclusive growth in India. In line with this, the United Nations Development Actions Framework (UNDAF) for year 2012-17, identified Odisha as a pilot state for establishing institutional frameworks for SPF that can be replicated and scaled up at a national level.

GreyMatters Communications was entrusted with the important task of driving awareness about SPF among key stakeholders in Odisha. Our goal was to design and execute a campaign to create a better understanding about SPF and sensitize stakeholders about the significance of ILO’s initiatives.

We designed an advocacy campaign aimed at targeted communication among Policymakers, NGOs, Trade Unions, and Employers Organizations, directly and through conventional and social media platforms. The messaging strategy was carefully crafted to ensure each stakeholder group received customized messages.

We employed an approach of Inter-Personal Communication and Media-Led Communication. This included tools such as a Media Workshop, Editorials, Press Releases, Interviews, Meetings with Influencers, Emailers, and Social Media.

Our efforts paid off and the campaign was a resounding success. 75 news clips were generated over a period of three months with a readership of about 300 million, we organised 3 media workshops, reached out to over 100 journalists Our targeted communication approach helped us reach out to the right stakeholders, and the messaging was well-received. Our media-led communication approach helped spread the word far and wide, and we received significant coverage in both conventional and social media.

The advocacy campaign established better understanding about SPF among key stakeholders. The pilot in Odisha set a benchmark for establishing institutional frameworks for SPF and has opened the door for replication and scaling up at a national level.

21 जून, यानी अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस। जी हां आज के इस episode में बात करेंगे हमारे मनानीय प्रधानमंत्री जी के प्रयासों के बल पर अंतरराष्ट्रीय पटल पर स्थान पा चुके योग दिवस के बारे में।

आज अर्थात 21 जून' 23 को नौवें विश्व अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के रूप में मनाया जा रहा है। यह अकल्पनीय है कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा घोषित किसी दिवस ने वैश्विक आंदोलन का स्वरूप ले लिया हो। आज योग दिनो-दिन हमारे जीवन शैली का हिस्सा बनता जा रहा है। कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि योग पूरे विश्व में भारत की दिव्य प्राचीन कला और संस्कृति के रूप में अपनी पहचान स्थापित कर चुका है।

योग का उदभव आज से 5000 वर्ष पूर्व हुआ था। योग के बारे में गीता और महाभारत में भी वर्णन है। प्राचीनतम ग्रंथ ऋगवेद में इसका उल्लेख है। योग संबंधी शिक्षाओं में शिव को आदि गुरू माना जाता है। सिंधु संस्कृति की खोज के बाद ही योग उत्पति की जानकारी प्राप्त हुई। पुरातात्विक खोज में सोपस्टोन मोहरों पर प्राप्त योगी जैसी आकृतियाँ इस बात का प्रमाण है कि इस काल में भी योग का अस्तित्व था। मंडोकोपनिषद में कहा गया है कि ब्रह्मांड के निर्माता ब्रह्मा ने अपने पुत्र अर्थव महर्षि को योग का ज्ञान दिया था। फिर महर्षि अर्थव ने ऋषि अंगिरस को, ऋषि अंगिरस ने भारद्वाज ऋषि को और भारद्वाज ऋषि ने सत्यवाह को योग के बारे में बताया था।

पाश्चात् देशों को योग से स्वामी विवेकानंद ने साक्षात्कार कराया था। आधुनिक योग के लिए सन् 1893 का वह दिन महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है जिस दिन संयुक्त राष्ट्र अमेरिका के शिकागो शहर में विश्व धर्म सम्मेलन का आयोजन हुआ। जिसमें स्वामी विविकानंद ने लोगों से योग के बारे में चर्चा की और उन्हें इसकी महत्ता बताई। इसके उपरांत भारत के कई महान व्यक्तित्वों के नेतृत्व में योग निरंतर प्रगति करता रहा जैसे टी.कृष्णामचारी, बी.के.एस.आयंकर, के.पट्टाभि जॉइस, टी.के.वी देसीकाचार, स्वामी शिवानंद, स्वामी योगेन्द्र, स्वामी सत्यानंद, महर्षि योगी, श्री रविशंकर, स्वामी रामदेव आदि।

योग शब्द संस्कृत भाषा की मूल धातु युज से बना है। जिसका अर्थ एकाकार है। कुछ लोगों का मानना है कि योग एक शारीरिक व्ययाम है जबकि योग एक समग्र अनुशासन है। इसे शरीर, मन और आत्मा को संतुलित व नियंत्रित करने का साधान माना जाता है। इसका ध्येय शरीर, इंद्रियों तथा मन को नियंत्रण के द्वारा आध्यात्मिक उत्कृष्टता प्राप्त करना है।

श्रीमद्भागवद्गीता में कहा गया है कि:

योगस्थ: कुरू कर्माणि सड.गं त्यक्त्वा धनंजय।

सिद्ध्यसिद्ध्यो: समो भूत्वा समत्वं योग उच्यते।।

अर्थात, हे धनंजय, सुख- दुख, लाभ- हानि, शत्रु-मित्र, शीत और उष्म आदि द्वंद्वों में सर्वत्र समभाव रखना ही योग है।

बहुत से लोग योग को हिंदुओं का व्यायाम और खुद को स्वस्थ रखने का तरीका मानते हैं। जबकि इसके ठीक विपरीत योग किसी विशिष्ट धर्म, मत या समुदाय का प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं करता बल्कि हमेशा ही यह स्वयं को आंतरिक रूप से स्वस्थ बनाने की पद्धति रही है। जो व्यक्ति पूरी लगन से योगाभ्यास करता है वह इसके लाभ को प्राप्त कर सकता है फिर चाहे वह किसी धर्म, जाति या संस्कृति से संबंधित हो।

योग सिर्फ एक शारीरिक व्यायाम नहीं है, अपितु यह चिकित्सा पद्धति और जीवन दर्शन है। योग भारतीयों की अंत:दृष्टि का संवाहक है जिसमें केवल शरीर ही नहीं बल्कि अध्यात्मिकता को जानने का भी मौका मिलता है।

इस तेज रफ्तार जीवन शैली में योग हमारे लिए अमृत समान है। अतः आप सब से निवेदन है कि आदिकाल से प्रवाहित होती योग के इस अमृत सरिता में आप सभी 21 जून (अतंरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस) के अवसर पर अवश्य डुबकी लगाएं और योग को हमेशा के लिए अपने जीवन का अभिन्न हिस्सा बनाएं। याद रखें कि यह किसी भी देश, प्रांत, मत-पंथ-संप्रदाय के बंधनों से मुक्त है तथा स्वस्थ सुखी जीवन की कुंजी है।
