The Ground Floor with Jc Steyn

In a first for EC, we are joined by a guest in the form of Freek Hennop. Over the course of the hour, Kwena and I chat to Freek about his dating strategy, and how he can improve his Tinder game, and we coach him intensely in preparation for the date he's about to go on.

Kwena and I discuss times when our own genius was almost frightening. We segue expertly into a conversation about Megan Fox.

Overseas, a couple abandoned their dog after suspicions arose that it might be gay. This story helped me to realise that my dog is, in fact, a lesbian. Kwena discusses his own pets as well.

As an adult man, Kwena put his name on Urban Dictionary in an effort to impress his peers. Similarly, I thought it appropriate to rewrite the dictionary as a child to express my own love. Together, we sat down near microphones for an hour and recorded our most cringe stories for your enjoyment.

Kwena and I have had rocky dating histories. He, at one stage, dated  a woman who was essentially a kiddy-fiddler. I was once stood up by a woman, and the restaurant subsequently burned down. Together, we recorded another podcast.

Kwena peed in his own closet in order to spite his mother. I wore Microsoft headphones around my neck to the mall for fashion reasons. Together, we've created another episode of Elevator Conversations.

In school, both Kwena and I had some problematic moments. On this episode, we chat about times we were kicked out of class, teachers who hated us, and more.

David Kabwa is a great friend of the show, and also has an impressive resume including serving as the first Commonwealth Youth Parliament Prime Minister. In this episode, David and I chat about the current situation in the Ukraine.

Important Notice: This episode was recorded on the 22nd of February 2022.

It's been an eventful week, and there is much to discuss. Together, Kwena and I chat about the power dynamic in the Southern Hemisphere, the war in Ukraine, and how Kwena is appropriating my culture.

Kwena and I both had a very rough week, and took the opportunity to vent to our tiny audience about how rubbish our lives are. We also discuss vegan meat substitutes, aquariums, glorious Nandos, fat shaming, and more.
