The Growing Season

The Growing Season, Sept 24, 2022 - Fall Colour

Listen Later

I'd like a red maple!   Great, here's a green one.  BUT, I want a red one!   Patience, young Jedi.

The former exchange is brought to by "common," as in this is a common conversation.

Jack. Lynne and Matt McFarland chat about what goes into creating that gorgeous fall colour that is about to blanket many parts of Southern Ontario.

Why are reds, oranges and yellows so prominent?  Is there a correlation between summer weather and all colour?  Will moisture affect the intensity of a trees autumnal offerings?   We touch on all this.

Matt cries controversy when it comes to certain aspects of this chat.

You'll want to tune in.
