(0:00-9:05) Guy Relford is back for another edition of the Gun Guy Show on 93.1 WIBC. Guy opens the show with his gun law class at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and the law of self-defense. He then sets the agenda for the rest of the show and touches on what the NRA is doing at the state level.
(9:06-26:01) Guy is joined by John Weber, the Indiana State Director at the NRA, to talk about his work in the Indiana General Assembly and how to get constitutional carry further along in the Senate. Guy and John talk about the issues that legislators have passing 2nd Amendment bills in the state of Indiana. Issues that not every state is having. The conversation ends with more Indiana General Assembly discussion and putting more pressure on supporters of the 2nd Amendment at the state level.
(26:02-33:51) Guy heads to the phone lines to talk to callers about politicians supporting the 2nd Amendment (and those who only claim to support), gun permits and much more.
(33:52-36:12) To finish the first hour, Guy goes back to the phone lines for a handgun license question.
(36:13-44:20) In the second hour, Guy discusses putting pressure on those who claim to support the 2nd Amendment but don’t put that to practice in actuality as members of the Indiana General Assembly. Guy talks about the governor of Indiana, Eric Holcomb, in that context as well as someone who hasn’t been as supportive of 2A as he claimed to be when running for office.
(44:21-56:49) Guy goes back to the phone lines to answer a call about Senate Bills 1077 and 143 and what is the likelihood that those bills will actually get hearings in the Senate. Guy answers that question and talks about how frustrating it is that not everything gets a hearing and a vote, as well as getting the message to voters what they’re representatives are – or aren’t – doing.
(56:50-1:06:52) Guy breaks down Senate Bill 143, the point of the bill and what it is trying to address. To help illustrate, Guy tells us about a case involving personal property, a bulldozer and a compensation disagreement.
(1:06:53-1:10:21) To finish the show, Guy touches on something Joe Biden said at a press conference in New York regarding the 2nd Amendment.
