  • S2E68 | One key player is likely gone, but who else will the Chicago Bears part ways with in 2024?
The Chicago Bears collapsed and allowed the Lions to creep back in and win 31-26 on Sunday. The loss helps in the Bears' hopes for two high draft picks, but it continues to show how far this team is from competing.

From 2022 to 2023, the Chicago Bears had plenty of turnover. Roughly 50% of the roster changed and we can expect a large number of players moving on with new faces arriving in 2024 too.

The Chicago Bears elected to start Lucas Patrick over Cody Whitehair in Week 11 vs. the Lions. That wasn't shocking, but when Patrick left the game due to an injury, Whitehair wasn't even the backup. Instead, the Bears brought in Dan Feeney to snap the ball to Justin Fields. It's clear that Whitehair is not going to be on the Chicago Bears roster in 2024.

Rob and Justin dissect the Bears' loss to the Lions, but also go through the roster and predict which players will still be here in 2024.

  • S2E67 | Best case scenarios for Ryan Poles, Matt Eberflus, Justin Fields and the Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears found a way to win against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10. The win was ugly, but Tyson Bagent did just enough to help the Bears come out on top. Truly, the Bears' defense was the main reason for the win.

The team is now 3-3 over its last six games, but just how good can this team be by the end of the 2023 season? Rob and Justin look at the chances of Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus getting fired.

They break down the best cases and worst cases of Poles and Eberflus as the season progresses and 2023 comes to an end. Eberflus and Poles are viewed vastly differently between these two. However, what about Justin Fields? Will Justin Fields find a way to prove he is worthy of sticking around? Will he continue his inconsistent ways or dominate over these final seven games?

  • S2E66 | Are Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus on the hot seat? | Tyson Bagent is not the Chicago Bears QB1
The Chicago Bears just lost to the New Orleans Saints in Week 9. It was another one-score game that Matt Eberflus and the Bears could not overcome. Statistically, the Chicago Bears outplayed the Saints in many ways, but five turnovers (three interceptions and two fumbles) are difficult to overcome.

With only two wins this season, the Chicago Bears made a move for the now and the future. Ryan Poles made a trade for Montez Sweat, while also re-signing Andrew Billings. What does that mean for Poles' future? Does the Sweat trade mean that Matt Eberflus is safe or is he still on the hot seat?

Justin and Rob break down the Montez Sweat trade and the Chicago Bears' performance against the New Orleans Saints. Did Tyson Bagent put the quarterback controversy to rest? Is Justin Fields in the plans for this Bears team or are there signs he will be dealt before the 2024 season?

  • S2E65 | How the Chicago Bears should handle the trade deadline | How Bears become contenders
The trade deadline is on Halloween this year. Will Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears look for some trick-or-treating of their own or will they turn the lights off and go to bed early?

As of now, Jaylon Johnson is the hot name as the NFL trade deadline draws near. After recording this podcast, it was reported that Johnson is requesting a trade and the Chicago Bears gave him permission to seek a trade partner. Will Ryan Poles and the Bears really move on from their top cornerback as he enters the prime of his career?

Rob and Justin look at some hypotheticals and rumors surrounding the Chicago Bears. They put their Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles hats on to make big-picture decisions about Matt Eberflus and the coaching staff, the roster and even a little bit regarding the NFL Draft.

  • S2E64 | A QB controversy is brewing for the Chicago Bears | Should the Bears trade Jaylon Johnson?
The Chicago Bears found a way to win their second game this season. Luke Getsy kept things relatively simple as Tyson Bagent got the football out quickly, dinking and dunking to a 30-12 victory.

How did Justin Fields handle the performance?

Did D'Onta Foreman do enough to prove he should be on the active roster going forward?

Will the Chicago Bears move Justin Fields along slowly after seeing Tyson Bagent perform so well?

Is there a quarterback controversy brewing for the Chicago Bears?

Rob and Justin dive into the game and dissect just how good Tyson Bagent was in this game. What should the Chicago Bears do regarding Justin Fields and the first-overall pick? Is Caleb Williams still the top option, or is Drake Maye creeping ahead of him? What about prospects like Marvin Harrison, Jr., Joe Alt or Olu Fashanu?

Rob and Justin also discuss the Jaylon Johnson contract situation and debate if Johnson (and Darnell Mooney) should be re-signed.

  • S2E63 | The Chicago Bears QB position just became more complicated with the Justin Fields injury
The Chicago Bears are in a tough spot now that Justin Fields looks to be missing some serious time. Before we recorded, the report was that Fields could be back as soon as next week to out for the season. Now, it's more likely that he is going to miss at least 4 weeks due to a dislocated thumb, but could still be lost for the year. We await an MRI on Monday.

Tyson Bagent time is upon us as he came in and looked like a rookie with a fumble and interception. He did show us some positives though and the Chicago Bears can get a closer look at the young quarterback to determine if he's worthy of at least a backup spot.

Matt Eberflus lost yet again to a divisional opponent. Justin and Rob discuss how Eberflus has to be gone with how poorly he's played within the division let alone the NFL. Does Ryan Poles deserve the same exit slip or will he stick around for at least 2024? The Chicago Bears have plenty to decide as they still hold the first and second-overall picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.

  • S2E62 | Justin Fields is on pace for an elite season | Would you rather Chicago Bears edition
The Chicago Bears came out strong once again in Week 5. This time they kept their foot on the gas and finished with a 40-20 win over the Commanders. The Chicago Bears have had back-to-back strong performances by the offense. In Week 5, most of that came from Justin Fields and DJ Moore. Can they keep that connection going vs. the Vikings in Week 6?

Don't look now, but Justin Fields is on pace for an MVP-type season. Can he keep that pace up after back-to-back four-touchdown performances? The Chicago Bears might luck out again with Fields proving he is the franchise quarterback most of us knew he could be. Imagine having Fields with a top-five pick in the 2024 NFL Draft thanks to the Panthers.

Rob and Justin discuss the Chicago Bears' performance against the Commanders. Then, they play a Chicago Bears edition of Would You Rather that features Justin Fields. Come play along and see if you can guess which quarterback is which. Would you be happy with these stats for Fields by the end of the 2023 NFL Season?

  • S2 E61| Do the Chicago Bears need to start planning for Caleb Williams over Justin Fields?
Rob and Justin discuss the Week 4 collapse by the Chicago Bears to the Denver Broncos. They discuss poor coaching decisions, poor play, and the now 14-game losing streak of the Chicago Bears. Although Justin Fields had probably his best game statistically as a passer, he still failed to come through in the clutch. Rob and Justin discuss whether the Bears should be preparing to move on from Justin Fields for Caleb Williams. #ChicagoBears #denverbroncos #week4 #JustinFields #CalebWilliams #NFL

  • S2E60 | It's time for the Chicago Bears to FIRE someone, if not EVERYONE | Bears vs. Chiefs recap
The Chicago Bears were embarrassed in Week 3. The team was unprepared to play and allowed the Chiefs to take a 34-0 lead into halftime. The game was 41-0 quickly into the third quarter and if Patrick Mahomes wasn't pulled, who knows what the final score would have been.

Justin Fields finished with less than 100 yards passing. The offense looked flat. The play-calling was once again questionable — especially based on the game's flow. The defense saw multiple injuries but no one seemed to want to tackle.

Overall, the Chicago Bears look like the worst team in football more so this year than last year!

If I were Kevin Warren and Ryan Poles, I would be sitting down and making a decision to fire someone, if not everyone. Luke Getsy is a must-fire at this point, but honestly, Matt Eberflus deserves to go too. The team hasn't won a game in nearly a year and is now 0-13 over the last 13 games. The Chicago Bears have never fired a coach mid-season, but it's time to make a change to a history that hasn't produced anything positive in nearly 40 years.

If you have young children, do yourself a favor and take Rob and Justin's advice, do not raise them to become Chicago Bears fans! Our children deserve better!

  • S2E59 | Chicago Bears vs. Chiefs Week 3 Preview | Can Justin Fields Bounce Back?
The Chicago Bears have struggled early in the 2023 NFL season. Justin Fields and company are 0-2 on the year and things have not looked good on either side of the football.

This week will be tough for the Bears as they face off against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Will the Chicago Bears find a way to bounce back or will they remain without a victory?

Rob and Justin go over the injury report, key Bears players on the offense and defense, an overview of what to expect from the opponent (Chiefs), and how the Chicago Bears can find a way to win this game.
