We're back, after missing last week due to some technical difficulties. We're finishing our series on the Fear of the Lord, talking about what it means practically in our every day lives to Fear the Lord. First, we do hate sin? The Bible states consistently and clearly that in order to Fear the Lord, we must Hate sin. If we hate sin, then we do our best to avoid it at all times. Second, do we obey God? Join us as we discuss how these play out in our daily choices.

We're starting a new series talking about what it means to Fear the Lord. We start by asking whether or not you fear the Lord: the creator of the heavens and the earth, the almighty and all-powerful, and most importantly, HOLY. What does it mean that God is Holy? How should we respond to His Holiness when we have sin in our lives? Join us as we learn to develop a respect and awe of the Lord Almighty.

What does it mean to be a father? What can we learn from the perfect Father, about being fathers ourselves? This morning we issued a challenge to fathers as they nourish, defend, and uphold their children, and challenged all men to be open to being spiritual fathers to those who don't have fathers. Finally, we encouraged fathers in our congregation by asking their children to speak about their fathers.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the Lord. We know that we sin, and that the Lord forgives. But sometimes we still feel guilty; we recognize that what we did was wrong, and we anguish over what we did. What does this guilt mean, and can it be useful? And once we have learned from our guilt, can we then be free from it?

What does it mean to be successful? Are you successful if you have lots of material possessions, or if you are wealthy? Success is determined by which goal we are attempting to achieve. God's goal for us is to be faithful to Him. Listen and learn how we may be successful in God's eyes!

Who knows better the purpose of a thing than the creator of that thing? A chair is created by its creator to be a chair, to hold people while they sit. So then, if God is the creator, and we are the created, who knows better than God His purpose for us? Join us this week as we explore why we were created, and what that means for our relationship with God.

Join us this week as we discuss what it means to live a good life. The world has defined the good life as being rich or famous, but how does God define living the good life? Furthermore, how can live the good life God has laid out before us?

We also had the opportunity this morning to dedicate baby Caden Elijah Carter.

Why do we sometimes feel disconnected from God? We seek and plead and ask God for an answer, but He doesn't answer - why? God is unchanging, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow; so maybe you have created barriers in your relationship with God. Spend more time with Christ, repent your sins, restore broken relationships, and exercise your faith: in this way you will draw closer to God and have a full relationship with Him.

This morning we took a break from regular preaching to celebrate mothers on Mother's Day. First, we asked children from the community to share good things about their mothers, providing encouragement to all moms. Then we celebrated a new mother by dedicating baby Aviana La'nae Conrad Cole, the newest child to our community.
