This week we started a new series talking about the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are a series of statements given by Jesus during his sermon on the Mount, which describe how God intends for us to be blessed, or supremely happy. The opening Beatitude discusses those who have recognized their need for God. They are blessed, or extremely happy, because those who recognize their need for God will turn to Him and live with Him eternally!

Eight years ago when we started the Harvest, we declared that we wanted to build a Biblical community. This week we are finishing up by talking about the last two attributes Paul encourages us to wear: being slow to anger along with forgiveness; and Love. These two are the foundation by which we can commit to living in community. Join us to learn more about being part of a Biblical community!

This week we continued with the attributes that Paul has commanded us to put on, as clothing that we wear every day and that we CHOOSE to wear. This week we started with the Truth that God has chosen each of us to be part of His community. This Sunday was a celebration of the Harvest church over the last eight years. In order to celebrate, we discussed the work that God is doing today, as well as the work God has done over the last six years since we've been on the West Side. Continuing the party, we interviewed a couple of people who have been impacted by God's work. Join us in celebrating the work that God has done!

Finishing our series on the commands the Lord has given us, this week we discussed reading the Bible. How often have we wished that we could hear from God? How often do we wish we knew what the Lord expected of us? The Lord does speak to us, and He has given us His commands. We simply need to read the Word to know who God is, and what He wants from us. In this way, we will know His plan for us, and how we can be obedient to Him.

>Continuing our series on commands the Lord has given us, this week we discussed Communion. Communion is an important time of community, and of remembering Christ's Death and Resurrection. It is an important and serious task, and we should prepare ourselves to take communion, to reflect on what it means that Christ took on our sins at the cross, and how we have responded to that gift of salvation.

Baptism is one of the most important ways to demonstrate our commitment to the new life that Christ has given us. It allows us to symbolically participate in the redemption process. Join us as we discuss why it is important to follow through on this critical step in the journey that Christ has laid out for each of us.

It is easy in our culture to claim that you are Christian. However, what does it really mean to be a Christian? Join us as we discuss the difference between saying that you are a Christian, and actually giving your life to Christ. We invite you to pray, to repent of your sins, and to accept the gift freely given by Christ.

The trip is over, the work is done, the team is home. Join us as we listen to the team discuss the work God laid before them in Piedras Negras, and the work God did in them during a week of hard work. Come and see that the Lord is Good.
