The Best Love Letter I’ve Ever Written

That’s right! It’s the best love letter I’ve ever written, and this time, it’s being written to myself. What would you say to yourself from the perspective of your very best day to you on your worst and most difficult day. 

I had this lovely conversation with my fiancé about this and it was interesting to explore the fact that it ca be really difficult to get yourself out of a rut or set yourself back to the state of feeling fabulous and motivated and like you can achieve what you desire. 

Sometimes low mood strikes me REALLY badly which I’ve spoken about a little bit in the past through various episodes especially dealing with PMDD as well as PTSD. Some days are simple and some days are harder than others. But writing this letter, I truly have pinned it up on my wall because it has made a difference reminding myself of that even when the days don’t feel like it’s possible to pull yourself back into joy.

So if you wrote yourself a love letter to yourself on your worst day, what would you say? I hope it’s filled with kindness, compassion, gentleness, calm and understanding.

Catching up with Kai Ross-Best was a delight! We spend our time in this episode discussing his journey as a YouTuber, his time on stage with Green Day, working as a freelance editor as well as his new band Orphix!

Orphix has just released a new single “Burnout Superstar” which you can catch on all streaming platforms. They have been off touring around the UK and working on their craft.

Today, I thought we should spend sometime reconnecting. Catching up and really, I’ve never properly introduced myself on this channel so let’s have a reintroduction shall we?

Who is or what is Heayy Metal Hippie Music? It’s about time we set the record straight! Heavy Metal Hippie Music Launched in 2020 with the original intention of being a record label but oh my how things have changed along the way! 

The Heavy Metal Hippie name came from a nickname that was given to me from my friends back in the day of organising weekend long herb gatherings in the great outdoors in Alberta, Canada. I’ve always had a love for health and wellness as well as music and the connection and love that it brings to unite people and help us be the best versions of ourselves. So it made sense that I’d have to find a way to combine the things I love the most.

Now in 2026, we are showing up to support artists and businesses in so many different ways across the creative industries. With a focus on music, we also provide services to other small businesses like music shops, clothing brands, entrepreneurs, visual artists, teachers and more. We thrive on seeing people reach their goals and new levels of success and excitement!

Loved having a chat with our friend Marlowe today. Venezuela born Marlowe has been all over the London music scene lately releasing their own brand of dark pop powered by raw and confessional lyrics. 

We spend a lot of time talking about believing in yourself, expressing your truth and deep self exploration. 

Marlowe has had a lot of obstacles to overcome - like being the “weird” kid. Fun fact - being the weird kid generally comes out pretty fantastically!

This episode is all about slowing down, in the very best way possible. In a world where we’re supposed to be creating and creating, and productive and releasing our work, on a never ending cycle of churning of content and production where do we draw the line without sacrificing it all? Slowing down is not about stopping productivity and grinding business and life to a halt, but it’s about making space for yourself so that you can create some space to allow your mind explore, to allow your imagination to run wild and show up as the best you. That’s what makes the difference in the long run! 

I’ve been allowing myself a bit of a digital detox and pulling back on personal posts while maintaining consistency with my business related posts and it’s helped me feel like I have more of a handle on everything, slowing down, reducing the mind clutter, and feeling like there is more room for freedom of thought and exploration giving clarity to situations that arrive and need focus.

We sat down with Lasse Kulsrud, bassist of Norwegian band Heigh Chief to talk all things music, going out of your comfort zone and finding your presence on stage and off stage. 

Lasse’s story is very cool as his first metal show ever, was the one he played in with Isiliel on the 2025 European tour. It took him way out of his comfort zone where he primarily sits in the blues and rock area, it was a new way of approaching music and opened up a whole new perspective on stage performance.

Inspired by my Hello Kitty notepad, I’ve been thinking about the way that kindness shows up and makes our lives transform and blossom, whether we’re giving or receiving it. And usually, we’re doing both!  

The kindness we put into the world can be incredible transformative and that sharing some compassion around can open up our world so beautifully where we support each other and find stable footing for ourselves. We all have time for compassion at the end of the day!

At its core, kindness is about building a supportive community. In the face of global challenges, individuals who prioritise kindness contribute to a culture of empathy and resilience. By fostering a community centred around kindness, we not only enhance our own lives but also uplift those around us.

I've noticed how kindness shines through the negativity. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the hate and misunderstanding around us, but remember, love and collaboration can change our daily experiences.

Fellow Canadian Chelsea Jambo and I sat down to discuss women’s health and our journeys. Chelsea is the founder of OURbody leading the market in wellness teas specifically blended for women’s health in every stage of life. 

We connected over a past episode of mine about Girl Problems and the impact that not being taken seriously in the medical system has had such an impact on me. Chelsea shares her experiences in how this has been something that has impacted her on her wellness journey. Chelsea did a total career 180 and moved from law and corporate to start her own wellness brand and find her path to supporting women from menstruation to menopause. Today we’re talking about the fact that that we are all influencers. It’s easy to get caught in a vibe of “disliking” influencers. But we all influence in our own way in our every interaction. I have been thinking about it a lot where people seem to be shaming social media influencers for simply existing and forgetting the fact that they can make a big difference in a lot of people’s day to day lives.

Fact of the matter is that whether it’s your parents, a coworker or friend, a student, or a stranger, we make such a difference on peoples well being and their lives. To me, being an influencer doesn’t mean that you have to be selling things to people online, it doesn’t mean you need to be selling anything. Our interactions shape the world around us and whether positive or negative, we all influence change, and lives.

We had fun catching up with Silk Red band fusing classic rock and big melodic vibes through their work. They started in 2024 and have been growing since. One thing I really admire about them is that they do a lot from the ground up including making their own merch which initially caught my interest when I met Libbie! We discuss their branding, musical influences, and the journey of forming the band. The members share their personal musical backgrounds, the creative process behind their debut album, and the importance of authenticity in their music.
