  • The Heavyist #179 Despite Exile / Dead/Awake / Surface Wounds
A double dose of deathcore today and some sweet sweet metalcore. Despite Exile unleash an immense post deathcore extravaganze and Dead/Awake have morphed once more to take off your f***ing head in timely fashion.
Surface Wounds are back to dunk on metalcore, doing more in 20 minutes than most bands in 2 albums.
AN EXCELLENT WEEK FOR THE RIFF HOMIES

  • The Heavyist #177 He Is Legend / Skin Failure
One of our all time favourites, HE IS LEGEND BACK! Endless Hallway absolutely rips and there are not many bands who can pull off a 7th records with so much to love. The other main record this week is the ridiculously brilliant debut from Skin Failure. Southern fried excellence of epic proportions and so much character. Black Peaks mourners, you are in for bloody treat!
Also shout outs to a few bangers from Infall, City Of Industry and Dream Unending.
    Thanks for listening homies!

  • The Heavyist #176 Dr.Acula / Show Me the Body / Implore

A truly stacked altar this week homies!

Dr.Acula has risen from his pharmaceutical coffin to bless us with hefty riff. Show Me The Body return with their excellent new record, honestly one of the more interesting things this year. Fans of Dog Whistle will not be disappointed.  Blackened hardcore bulldozers Implore unleash a beast with more flailing limbs than ever before and it's absolutely sick.

Really strong week, I feel like all 3 of these albums could end up on end of year lists!
