  • Ep 85: How to stop the overwhelm and get clear on your future

When I get overwhelmed I literally can’t visualise myself being able to get the tasks done. As soon as I hear myself say ‘I have no idea how to do this’ or ‘I can’t do this’ I know overwhelm has kicked in and I need to stop and refocus. I’ve practised over the years how to catch myself starting a spiral of negative thoughts and then stop it before it takes over. In this episode I’m sharing with you how to stop being overwhelmed so you can get clear on your future and start taking action.

I'm a life coach to ambitious, health-conscious women  since 2015. Helping women with a diverse range of lifestyle and professional goals.

With 100’s of hours face-to-face coaching time, facilitating workshops for corporate clients and working with lifestyle brands, I’ve delved into topics from a range of perspectives and insights with the clients I’ve worked with over the years, specialising in lifestyle, career,  productivity, health and building confidence coaching.

My mythology is grounded with the intention to help create positive change in my clients lives and do this with a combined approach of coaching frameworks, positive psychology and science based research.

I started to know more about who I was, what I wanted, what changes I wanted to create… I’ve used visualisation for almost 10 years both from a personal perspective and within my coaching practice - it honestly changed my life for the better!

In this episode I share with you how visualisation will change your life for the better and guide you through a visualisation exercise you can revisit time and time again to deepen your practice.

I challenge you to give it a try!

  • EP 81: Increasing happiness with Marta @a_girlwhotravels

Marta's mission is to inspire women to step into their power so they can live a deeply fulfilling life rooted in a sense of purpose and inner joy. Her Happiness Coaching Workshops combine elements of neuroscience, positive psychology and spirituality, translating happiness into practical daily habits and mindset shifts and bringing you closer to the life you'll love.

10 years ago, Marta quit her office job to go on a solo trip to India which, thanks to a serendipitous encounter, led her to moving to NYC. Travel has completely shifted her perspective, making her realise more than ever that there is so much more to life than conforming to somebody else's idea of happiness. So instead, she decided to create her own. Marta started a Tech business that allowed her to work from anywhere and, a couple of years (and countries!) later, she created @a_girlwhotravels to show women how they can do the same. Her passion for self-development and spirituality inspired her latest Happiness Coaching venture, as she continues to focus on serving the female community.

    In this episode we talk:

    • Career pivots
    • Trusting yourself
    • Taking a risk for a better life
    • Creating happiness

  • EP 80: Setting up social enterprise Abtaluna with Lama Andari

EP 80: Setting up social enterprise Abtaluna with Lama Andari

In this week’s podcast episode I talk with Lama the founder of social enterprise @abtaluna.

A philanthropist at heart, Lama Andari has spent her life supporting youth, as well as various social and community causes. When her son was diagnosed with cancer, she felt a strong urge to play an active role in raising awareness of childhood cancer and the importance of well-being. She is an advocate for kids fighting cancer and believes that they are true superheroes - resilient, determined and brave.

When her son completed the first year of treatment, she started writing the first words of her 'Super Kids' book, a children’s book on childhood cancer. The book is engaging and unique as it is illustrated by a talented 12-year-old girl in Dubai called Malak Jundi. Lama then also founded a social enterprise in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, called 'Abtaluna' which means 'Our Superheroes' in Arabic.

Lama shares Abtaluna’s mission and the impact it’s already creating in the community. She also shares how we can all get involved to support this great cause.

Lama then also founded a social enterprise in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, called 'Abtaluna' which means 'Our Superheroes' in Arabic. It connects families whose children are fighting cancer and also raises awareness about pediatric cancer. She believes that caregivers, in particular parents, are also Super Humans - juggling their lives while taking care of loved ones and they deserve every bit of support and care. Abtaluna focuses on providing psychological support for the children, their siblings and parents through partnerships, as well as organising events and workshops.
