One of the themes of my life has been learning how to publicly proclaim my faith. My women’s conference, “Faith that Speaks'' reaches thousands of women every year with one goal in mind: to stir their faith to action. Do we love the Lord? If so, our faith should never be silent, our faith should be a faith that speaks. “Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the Lord." Psalms 26:12 ***Find links and more at HeidiStJohn.com***
Do you remember the very first time you help your child in your arms? Do you remember the weight of responsibility and the incredible love that you felt? Of course you do. I remember feeling overwhelmed at the thought that the hospital staff would let me take home a brand new, 9 pound human being. I mean, let’s be honest… I didn’t know what I was doing! Truly, I was just making it up as I went along. Come to think of it, I’m still doing that in many respects. Most of my seven children are grown now. They are getting married and having children of their own… and I find I am navigating yet another season of motherhood that I will confess to feeling unprepared for. Motherhood is humbling in every stage and in every season. The challenge I am facing now is how to let my children leave. It is both heartbreaking and exhilarating, and I find I am leaning even into the Lord. ***Find links and more at HeidiStJohn.com***
I will never forget the season when Barack Obama was running for president of the United States. My hunch is that you will never forget it either… his slogan is still with us today. “Hope and change.” It worked, of course. After all, who doesn’t want hope and change? We are a people in dire need of hope! Here’s the thing though, mom: we need to tell our children the truth about hope. Hope isn’t something that we manufacture. It isn’t something we can get from a politician or even a pastor. We don’t have hope because of a policy or a medical procedure. As Christians, we have hope because of Jesus. ***Find links and more at HeidiStJohn.com***

19 years ago today, our nation was attacked in one of the worst terrorist attacks in history. Today, we’re being attacked from within. Across the United States right now, police officers are being vilified and maligned as Marxists work to defund the police and promote lawlessness. Today, I sit down with Janel Ralat, wife of a police officer in Las Vegas to discuss what it’s like for the families of our brave men and women on the front lines and how we can support them in practical ways. ***For links mentioned in the podcast and more, please visit HeidiStJohn.com***

As the mother of seven mostly-grown children and (currently) three precious grandchildren, I am always interested in ways that I can be an example of action rather than apathy in my life as a Christ-follower. Today, remember that your children will care about what you care about. Does it break God’s heart? If so, it should break ours, too. ***Join us at MomStrongInternational.com***Find other links and more at HeidiStJohn.com***
