  • Measuring Your Version of Christianity
There is a version of “Christianity” that is troubling on many levels, and we must be aware and learn to measure it against the Word of God. Jesus did not die so that we can wallow in our sin. He died so that we can be reconciled to the Lord! Transformation happens in the deep as we pursue Jesus. If we spend all of our time in the shallows, we won’t grow. Know your word, Sister, and don’t miss today’s podcast!

  • How Can We Support Public School Teachers?
I talk a lot about homeschooling on my podcast, because it’s what we do, but there are millions of children in public school each day being loved by their hard-working teachers. Today I have one of my closest friends as our special guest. Carol Bates is my daughter’s mother-in-law, and is joining us to share how we can pray for and support teachers each day as they minister to all of our children, even if you don’t have children in the public school system.

See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.
See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.

  • The Best Accident that Ever Happened, with Yvette Hampton
A listener is asking about my accidental homeschooling status, and it turns out, I’m not the only one ’round these parts! Yvette Hampton is joining me today and we’re talking about why we decided to homeschool and SchoolHouse Rocked, a documentary you won’t want to miss!

Yvette Hampton has been married to her awesome husband, Garritt, for 23 years and is beyond blessed to be mom to her two sweet girls. She is the producer and host of the upcoming documentary, Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution.

In the fall of 2016, she and her family sold their home and most of their possessions, loaded up in an RV, and began traveling the country to film Schoolhouse Rocked. They have a passion for the homeschool community and are humbled and honored that the Lord has called them to tell the story of the millions of families who have been impacted by the homeschool revolution.
The movie is intended to dispel the many misconceptions and negative stereotypes of homeschooling as well as to encourage and equip parents to take charge of their child’s heart and education. They plan to release Schoolhouse Rocked in theaters in the summer of 2019!

Homeschooling Held Hostage – We’ve gone from a few brave moms who, without access to mainstream “curriculum”, managed to give their children an excellent education—but we’ve forgotten what made it excellent.  It was excellent because these moms had a vision for homeschooling—they weren’t trying to re-create school at home. They were simply being obedient to the One who had called them to be different. They knew that if He had called them, He would equip them.

  • Natural Help for Hormones & Intimacy with Dr Edie Wadsworth
Hormones and intimacy go hand in hand, and having both in balance are crucial to a healthy marriage. Join me with Dr Edie Wadsworth as we talk about using some natural methods to support the two today. We’re also touching on flu season family wellness, because who doesn’t need help with that as we head into this dreaded season?!
About my Guest: Edie Wadsworth is a national speaker, writer, and faith blogger at life{in}grace. She has been featured in various media including Better Homes and Gardens. Edie is a physician and natural health enthusiast who encourages and inspires women to live with more passion and purpose so that they can impact families and communities with their unique gifts. After overcoming her difficult upbringing to become a successful medical doctor, Edie left her practice to raise her family and pursue her love for writing. Her passion is to love her people well and to see women embrace the full measure of their life’s passion and purpose. She blogs at lifeingraceblog.com on a variety of topics centered on home—including vocation, hospitality, faith, parenting, cooking, and life in the South. In 2012, she traveled to Nicaragua as a Compassion International blogger to advocate for children in need. When she’s not writing or teaching natural health classes, she enjoys cooking (with butter!), running, reading, banjo music, and the beautiful scenery of southern Appalachia, where she makes her home with her husband, Steve, and their awesome kids.  Don’t miss Edie’s spiritual memoir, All the Pretty Things.

  • All Things Work Together For Good
Romans 8:28 is one of the most claimed promises about the providence and grace of God in our ups and downs.  If we rightly understand this truth, it unlocks a bulletproof joy in the midst of our circumstances, but if we wrongly understand it, we miss the depth of joy and comfort that God intends for us.  There are two conditions that are critical for it’s application.  Don’t miss our discussion about it today!

  • The Effects of Feminism on the Hearts of our Boys and Men
Today, I am answering a question from a listener who is frustrated by the attempts to emasculate men in our culture today, especially since she is trying to raise her boys to love and protect women. The Bible says we have been created differently as male and female. One is not better than the other—but we have unique strengths and weaknesses. Let’s embrace them!
