  • Unwrapping the Names of Jesus, with Asheritah Ciuciu
Join me today for a truly refreshing visit with my friend Asheritah as we visit about her search for joy in Christmas. She’s sharing her journey toward joy in Jesus and a secret just between us. 😉 This is one you don’t want to miss.
Asheritah Ciuciu is a writer, speaker, and founder of One Thing Alone Ministries–an online

community of women who find joy in Jesus through creative spiritual disciplines. She’s also the author of Full: Food, Jesus, and the Battle for Satisfaction (Moody, January 2017) and Unwrapping the Names of Jesus (Moody, October 2017).

Asheritah grew up in Romania as a missionary kid and lives with her high school sweetheart and spunky children in northeast Ohio. Her passion is leading busy women deeper with Jesus in the midst of their everyday lives both in her local church and online

    at OneThingAlone.com.

  • The Search for Satisfaction
We’re looking for satisfaction in people, careers, politics, money and a laundry list of more things. Unfortunately, that exhausting search will always come up empty, because its not what we’re designed for. We are created to find satisfaction in only one place, and that’s what we’re talking about today.

  • Whom Do You Trust?
There is so much happening in the news right centering around the sexual misconduct of public figures, from news organizations to government. It’s curious to me how outraged we are by one kind of sexual sin—and how we promote other kinds. In Psalm 1, we learn about the life God blesses.
God repeatedly warns us about the consequences of sexual sin in His Word. We dare not fall into the trap of culturally correct Christianity. God says that ALL sexual activity outside the bounds of heterosexual, monogamous marriage is sin. So who do we trust? Do we trust the world’s wisdom, or do we trust God? Listen in, I think you’ll be encouraged!

    Patheos article
    Psalm 1
    1

Oh, the joys of those who do not

follow the advice of the wicked,

    or stand around with sinners,

    or join in with mockers.

    2

But they delight in the law of the Lord,

meditating on it day and night.

    3

They are like trees planted along the riverbank,

    bearing fruit each season.

    Their leaves never wither,

and they prosper in all they do.

    4

    But not the wicked!

They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.

    5

They will be condemned at the time of judgment.

Sinners will have no place among the godly.

    6

For the Lord watches over the path of the godly,

but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.
