Be Prepared was a motto in our house growing up. Living in Southern California, the possibility of earthquakes and other disruptions is always there. In 2012, I completed 24 hours of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training. As I shared my new training with friends and moms at the sports fields, I saw an opportunity to help women and moms become prepared for their families. As a mom of four kids, I want to make sure I am prepared for anything.

So many people don’t like to think about something bad happening. But when we are prepared for anything, our family can look to us and remain calm and make it to the other side.
