  • The Importance of Prioritizing Time With The Lord

Connie Albers has spent much of her adult life as a homeschool mom and mom-preneur with an outreach and ministry to homeschool parents through her leadership and as a speaker. She is a respected leader and trusted homeschool mom who understands the challenges of balancing the demands of life. Connie is a wife and mother of five homeschool graduates. Her children continued their studies at the University of Central Florida on scholarship. Four have graduated and one is a senior. She is a speaker and writer, a spokesperson, and owns ConnieAlbers.com. Her latest venture is fulfilling her desire to equip women in their calling through her Equipped To Be ministry and with her site. The Albers family lives in Winter Garden, Florida.

More from The Busy Mom on Meditating on the Word – “As mothers, isn’t that what we want for our children?  That they would be like those trees that are planted by streams of water. The Bible says that this person is a person who walks in step with the Holy Spirit, who delights in the law of the Lord and who meditates on it day and night.  In our culture, the word “meditate” has taken on a bad rap.  When we think of this word, if often conjures up images of “super Christians” or someone who is involved in New Age or eastern religions.  However, the Bible talks a lot about meditating on the Word. In Psalm 2, we read about delighting in the Word and meditating on it day and night…”
And here’s some encouragement on Finding Balance in a Busy Season – something you may need to do in order to be able to prioritize some time with the Lord.

  • What Does Water Teach Us About the Living God?

Meet guest, Sherri Seligson at Just Extraordinary.  Sherri is a homeschool mom and the author of Apologia’s Exploring Creation with Marine Biology high school curriculum, Interning for High School Credit and a few other books and media. She loves to cook, read, write, do science experiments (she keeps her microscope in her china cabinet), but most importantly, she loves to encourage moms in their walk with the Lord and as they train and educate their children.  justEXTRAordinary is her way of reminding us that it is the ordinary things, done day-by-day, moment-by-moment, faithfully and lovingly, that amazingly make us EXTRAordinary.
    Scriptures mentioned in podcast:
Psalm 139:7 ESV   Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence?
John 4:13ESV   Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
