Doesn't the Bible direct women to submit to their husbands? Today, June Hunt, founder of Hope for the Heart, joins me to talk about why women are never called to submit to abuse. These are tough conversations, and important ones, too. Listen in, because we need to learn to "rightly divide" the Word! During Happy Hour I am sharing a little of my own experience with abuse and domestic violence. SHOW NOTES
What constitutes domestic violence and how prevalent is it? What is the classic "cycle of abuse"? What do abusers believe? Why do women remain in abusive relationships? The wonderful June Hunt joins me today to talk about this issue that is near and dear to my heart. If you have suffered abuse or if you know someone who has, this is a must-listen. God has freedom and healing for you! SHOW NOTES
Last weekend, SCOTUS came down solidly on the side of freedom in the United States as it issued rulings on so-called "affirmative action," freedom of speech and bailouts for student debt. Join me today as I unpack these rulings and offer analysis.
Happy Hour: More on affirmative action and why I don't believe you can be a Christian and vote in favor of abortion

You guys hear me talk a lot about 501(c)(3)s, and a listener asked for some specifics. What does that status really mean, and is it a blessing or a hindrance? Or maybe both? We see churches these days hide behind it and choose not to address difficult issues in the name of not being “political.” But what is really required to maintain that status, and is it becoming an idol? Let’s talk about it. SHOW NOTES
This year’s “all ages” Seattle Pride Parade included something you don’t often see in public: adult men on bicycles wearing helmets but no pants—in front of children. This was shocking in and of itself but the more shocking thing is that no one complained. This is a battle for the hearts and minds of a new generation—and whether or not we win it will depend on how committed God's people are to being salt and light. SHOW NOTES
The Bible talks about having strength in our weakness, but when it comes down to it, that is difficult to walk out. What does it really look like when we're afraid, our jobs or family are threatened, our quiet family life is at risk? How do we step out of the boat when all we see are the storms coming? Let's talk about it. It's too important to miss. SHOW NOTES
How can I disciple my granddaughter? | I'm busy at home with several small kids but I feel guilty that I don't have time to serve at church. | I want to homeschool, but my husband isn't on board. | Is a Buddhist blessing negative for my child? | A listener is a doctor and has a suggestion about handling mainstream medicine today. Lots of great questions today!
Stick around for Happy Hour where we're talking more about homeschool curriculum, non-woke companies and brands you can support, Sunday School Curriculum, Christians sending kids to Public School, YouTube comments, and more. SHOW NOTES
"Christianity and politics don't mix." We've heard this false narrative from our elected officials and from our pulpits for generations. The result of this misguided approach is obvious: Politics is now a stronghold of "spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places." We can't see when angels and demons are battling against each other—if we did it would absolutely change our posture toward prayer and we would take our place on the battlefield. Our Constitution was written for moral people. The church at large absolutely must take part in our civic process. If not Christians, who do you think is representing a Biblical Worldview?
Two Kingdoms: But we can be sure that both spiritual powers are at work consistently. One marches to God's orders and the other follows Satan's command.

Many of us are intimidated when it comes to discussing abortion. Even though we know why we believe what we believe, we have a hard time articulating it to our opposition. We need to reframe the discussion as it is an issue that is now in the purview of the state governments. Mark Spence is here to help us be confident in our discussions on this critical issue.
