This week, Halsey talks shop with Dan Deutermann. Dan spent his military career flying in both the Navy and Coast Guard. Since retirement, Dan has made his way into the civilian sector, most recently flying a corporate Bell 429.  

While in the military, Dan founded The Squadron, an aviation risk management company that performs a mix of audits and operational assessments, safety-related training, operational training, and consulting on operation aspects (from procurement to development of procedures and operations).

We are excited to partner with Dan for future episodes. We will be doing a monthly podcast series where Dan covers a wide range of topics centered around operational risk management and how his past experiences have shaped his view on creating a safer industry for all helicopter operations.
